Here is a pack of 25 free presets for Surge featuring 8 basses, 6 pads, 5 keys, 3 plucks, and 3 sequences. All presets make good use of the mod wheel, velocity, aftertouch, and have many macros assigned.

Hey guys. I've recently come across this synth and it completely blew me away. At first, it looked somewhat complicated but I pretty quickly got a hold of it and it seems so easy to spit out interesting sounds. It has a huge bank of presets if you fancy that too.

I have created some Surge presets (fxp files) through the Surge gui and would like to store them on Zynthian so that they are available in the preset menu of the Surge synthesizer engine when loaded via the Zynthian UI (without the Surge guif).

How can this be achieved ? The internal preset manager seems to only work for lv2 presets.

3.4 hours of audio synthesized using the open-source Surge synthesizer, based upon 2084 presets included in the Surge package. These represent ``natural'' synthesis sounds---i.e.presets devised by humans.

We generated 4-second samples playing at velocity 64 with a note-on duration of 3 seconds. For each preset, we varied only the pitch, from MIDI 21--108, the range of a grand piano. Every sound in the dataset was RMS-level normalized using the normalize package. There was no elegant way to dedup this dataset; however only a small percentage of presets (like drums and sound effects) had no perceptual pitch variation or ordering.

So the only reason for me to get another synth are presets I believe that Current might be the go-to synth, but only if it allows me to get where i want faster. This means - quality presets for my genre.

obviously its subjective but man i could not disagree more, I absoluletly love how much depth these presets have, I think theyre some of the highest quality presets ive heard in any synth, too your point though I do think itd be nice to have some more simplistic presets as well, it does feel like almost EVERY preset is this ultra-modular complex sequence rather than some more simple just stabs and such, but full disclosure I also havent gone through the entire library yet

Are there any plans for a potential community library, something like Shaperbox has mixed with what Vital has, where we could upload presets both for free and paid, into the stream for people to purchase/download all directly in the synth, I think that would be a really cool way to build a community around the synth, as well as give artists and sound designers a revenue stream opportunity in which minimal would also benefit from by being able to take a cut. But at the least a sort of community library where you can just choose to make a preset publicly downloadable, would be really cool.

Kymeia says in Oct 27, 2015 - "Since there are a number of plugin devs not on board with NKS support (yet) I thought it would be useful to share mappings for their plugins to enable controlling them in KK until (hopefully) they release official NKS ones (with presets too)."

I'm facing an issue in controlling the negative pressure at the peak points of the profiles- 3, 5 & 6. I've provided 2 surge vessels of 12 m3 & preset pressure of 5.5 bars each to control the negative surge, however the surge is not controlled fully & even it is tried by increasing the vessel size & preset pressure as well, but I'm not finding any possibilities of controlling it. could anyone please suggest a possibility of mitigating the negative surge completely?

Yeah, you are right that there is no vapor or air pockets are formed but there is a negative pressure of -0.29 bars in the profile-6. In Potable water I've been recommended to not to allow any negative pressure & also air valves shall not be used in the network. Please look at the profile & suggest the possibilities to remove that negative surge completely. As I mentioned in my earlier message, I can only use Surge vessel & PSV.

Interpretive Summary: Most crunchy snack foods are made from corn meal in a machine called an extruder. The extruder consists of a long, heated barrel with two mixing screws inside. The corn meal is cooked as the screws mix and push the corn meal through the extruder to form the snack food. The crunchiness of the snack is determined by its moisture content and its temperature as it leaves the extruder. In order to improve the nutritional profile of crunch snack foods, the addition of proteins to the corn meal, such as whey protein isolate (WPI)-a concentrated form of whey - was proposed. However, in experimental tests, addition of WPI adversely affected the crunchiness, color, and texture of extruded snack foods. To determine why this occurs, a series of experiments were carried out by extruding corn meal containing various amounts of WPI. Results indicated that addition of WPI to corn meal causes a surge in temperature of the product as it moves through and leaves sthe extruder, far above the temperature of the product if corn meal alone is extruded. Temperature conditions were then established and linked to a range of desirable product characteristics for WPI - corn meal blends. This knowledge allows the creation of nutritious snack foods and utilizes whey protein, a byproduct of the cheesemaking process and an underutilized milk protein.

I find that I have to navigate my Surge back to the home screen due to accidental swipes. I would love to see a lock feature or a timed feature (presets and custom) that resets the display back to my screen of choice. 006ab0faaa
