SURGE — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile game SURGE ("the game", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information. SURGE is an endless runner game for Android. By playing SURGE you agree to this policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
SURGE can be played as a guest without providing any personal information. If you choose to sign in, the game collects the following:
- Google account sign-in (optional). If you sign in with Google, we receive a secure authentication token from your Google account to identify you as a player. We do not receive or store your password.
- Username. The display name you choose in the game. This name is publicly visible to other players on the global leaderboard.
- Game progress. Your scores, collected coins, revives and unlocked character skins, saved to your player account so your progress follows you across devices.
- Leaderboard scores. Your best score, together with your chosen username, is published on the game's global leaderboard.
- Purchase confirmations. If you buy an in-game item, the purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. We only receive confirmation that the purchase was completed. We never see or store your payment details.
SURGE does NOT collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, or any data from other apps. SURGE contains no advertising and no advertising or tracking SDKs.
2. HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS USED
- To sign you in and keep your game progress backed up and synchronized across your devices.
- To display your username and best score on the global leaderboard.
- To deliver in-game items you have purchased and restore them when you reinstall the game.
- To fix bugs and keep the game working correctly.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed below, which are required to operate the game.
3. SERVICE PROVIDERS
SURGE is built on the following services, which process data on our behalf:
- Unity Gaming Services (Unity Technologies) — player authentication, cloud save and leaderboards. Privacy policy: https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Google Play services (Google LLC) — Google sign-in and in-app billing. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
4. DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
Settings and progress (for guest play) are stored locally on your device and are removed if you uninstall the game.
5. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Account data (username, progress, leaderboard entries) is kept for as long as your player account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, in either of two ways.
In the game — immediate. Open SURGE, tap your player name at the top-left of the main menu, choose DELETE ACCOUNT, and confirm with DELETE PERMANENTLY. Your account is removed straight away.
By email — within 30 days. Contact us at michel.fleyfel@gmail.com from the email address linked to the Google account you signed in with, including the player name shown in the game. We will confirm by email when it is done.
Deletion permanently removes your player account, your display name, your leaderboard entry, your best score, your coins and revives, and every character you have unlocked — including any bought with real money. It cannot be undone, and purchases are not refunded; refunds are handled by Google Play, so request one there first if you want it. After deletion we retain no personal data, only anonymous records (such as aggregate purchase and crash data) where Google Play or tax law requires it, which cannot be traced back to you.
6. CHILDREN
SURGE is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. SECURITY
All communication between the game and its online services uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Player data is stored on Unity Gaming Services infrastructure protected by industry-standard security measures.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will be communicated in the game or on the store listing.
