This book contains all the Scales in 12-Tone Equal Temperament in all the keys in E Standard Tuning. Can serve as a perennial reference to the Serious Guitar Player, and for future works by this author. For God, having created everything Good in Good Order, gave us ears and a heart and a voice to spread the Good News! Thanks be to God!
This is the first-order structure of the Diatonic scale.
The nodes are labeled by their diffusion number, (66/66) of the heptatonic scales, and their modes. Mode 1 being Locrian; 2, Ionian; 3, Dorian; 4, Phrygian; 5, Lydian; 6, Mixolydian; 7, Aeolian.
The blue edges indicate the modes that can inter-modulate via a one-note operation without a change of key.
In total, only 72 out of the 351 unique scales in 12-Tone Equal Temperament have one-note internal modulations, like the Diatonic scale. The graphs of all of these 72 scales are completely connected. No in-betweeners. All or none.
These are some useless ramblings, come up in a frenzy of chocolate croissants and superficial introspections.

Here, I designed a capital letter Thorn, digitized it into Metafont, Dr. Knuth's brainchild, and then, after exporting and autotracing with Inkscape, I inset the outlines to almost a line. It makes up for a very organic image.
