As part of the Masters of Educational Technology program at the University of British Columbia, STANCE Ventures was created as an Open Educational Resource (OER) designed to analyze venture pitches in response to Assignment 1 in ETEC 522. For this project, STANCE Ventures has reviewed and analyzed the Superbook by Sentio.
As part of the Masters of Educational Technology program at the University of British Columbia, STANCE Ventures was created as an Open Educational Resource (OER) designed to analyze venture pitches in response to Assignment 1 in ETEC 522. For this project, STANCE Ventures has reviewed and analyzed the Superbook by Sentio.
Superbook is a laptop shell that uses your Smartphone's data, bluetooth, and computing power to effectively transform your cell phone into a laptop computer.
Sentio manufactures these laptop shells, but more importantly, has developed a mobile application that enables the marriage between Smartphone and laptop.
The analysis will address the rationale of Superbook, and speak to the perceived pain point, solution, differentiation aspects, and competency of the leadership team.
Reflections will suggest justification against the investment in Superbook, and Sentio based on the critical analysis and a series of educational technology frameworks.
