If you want comprehensive interior protection for your Tesla Model Y Juniper during car detailing and daily family use, choose SUPER LINER Tesla; if you need rugged, heavy-duty exterior access for a Toyota Tundra CrewMax to handle rough terrain and loading, choose Tyger Auto Trax Side Steps. These two products solve completely different problems for owners of distinct vehicles, but the decision often comes down to whether you are prioritizing the preservation of your cabin's pristine condition or the structural integrity and utility of your truck's entry points. I have analyzed the specifications and design intent behind both sets to help you cut through the noise and make a confident choice without relying on inflated marketing claims or vague promises.
• SUPER LINER Tesla offers a complete 13-piece injection-molded TPE system tailored specifically for the 2025–2026 Model Y Juniper, providing maximum coverage from the frunk to the rear seat backs, though it is strictly limited to the Premium and Performance trims and excludes the Standard model.
• Tyger Auto Trax Side Steps delivers a robust dual-tubular carbon steel solution designed exclusively for the 2022–2027 Toyota Tundra CrewMax, featuring a 500-pound weight capacity and easy bolt-on installation, but it does not fit Double Cab configurations or any other vehicle type.
• Who should buy SUPER LINER: Owners of the new Juniper trim who need a total interior shield against mud, snow, pet hair, and spills while maintaining a clean aesthetic for car detailing sessions.
• Who should buy Tyger Auto: Tundra CrewMax owners looking to lower their entry height, protect rocker panels from rock damage, and support heavy loads like gear or passengers with a durable, rust-resistant step.
The SUPER LINER set is engineered for the owner who treats their Tesla Model Y Juniper as a high-value asset that requires meticulous care. This is not a generic mat set; it is a precision-engineered defense system based on 3D laser scanning of the specific 2025–2026 Premium and Performance trims. If you are the type of person who takes pride in keeping the interior spotless, especially after outdoor adventures, this 13-piece collection is built to handle the mess. The design extends far beyond the floor mats. It includes protectors for the front and rear footwells, the trunk, the frunk, and even the lower trunk storage area. But what really sets this apart is the inclusion of rear seat back covers, center console sides, and front door sill protectors.
This level of coverage addresses the specific wear patterns found in modern electric SUVs. You know exactly where shoes brush against the carpet during entry and exit, or how luggage can scuff the trunk lining. The SUPER LINER set tackles these weak points directly. Every single component is injection-molded from TPE, a material chosen for its ability to combine flexibility with everyday durability. Unlike rubber mats that might crack over time or carpet liners that soak up moisture, this one-piece construction features solid contours and defined edges that lock into place. The raised edges on the floor mats and extended sidewalls act as a dam, containing water, mud, sand, and snow before they ever touch the factory carpet.

However, this product is not for everyone. The fitment data is extremely specific. It is designed only for the 2025–2026 Model Y Juniper 5-seat Premium and Performance trims. If you own the Standard trim, a 2020–2024 Model Y, or a 7-seat configuration, this set will not fit. There is no wiggle room here because the molded contours follow the exact geometry of the newer vehicle architecture. Furthermore, while the TPE material is easy to rinse off, it requires drying before reinstallation. This product is ideal for families with kids and pets, or for anyone who frequently uses their vehicle for car detailing projects where removing dirty items is common. It transforms the interior into a washable zone, but it demands that you verify your vehicle's exact trim level before purchasing.
For the Toyota Tundra CrewMax owner, the Tyger Auto Trax Side Steps are about function, strength, and accessibility. These running boards are not decorative accessories; they are heavy-duty engineering solutions designed to make entering and exiting a large truck safer and easier. The core of their design lies in the construction material: 2-inch diameter carbon steel molded into a robust dual-tube structure. This isn't thin aluminum or plastic; it is steel built to withstand significant impact and weight. The dual-stage textured black powder E-coating finish is applied specifically to bolster resistance against rust and corrosion, which is crucial for a truck that might see mud, salt, and gravel on a regular basis.
The primary value proposition here is the weight capacity. They sit approximately 11 inches off the ground, offering a comfortable step-up height that reduces strain on your knees and back compared to climbing straight into a Tundra bed. The installation process is also a major selling point for DIYers. The kit includes all necessary hardware for a bolt-on installation that requires no drilling, and the entire process can be completed in roughly 20 minutes. This ease of setup ensures you get the benefits of improved access without needing a professional mechanic or specialized tools.
But there are strict limitations to consider regarding fitment. These side steps are compatible only with the 2022–2027 Toyota Tundra CrewMax cab size. If you have a Double Cab, which features two full-size front doors and two narrower rear doors, these steps will not work. The design assumes the four full-size doors of the CrewMax configuration. Additionally, while the product comes with a three-year warranty backing against manufacturing defects for US customers, it is an external accessory that alters the vehicle's profile. This product is perfect for those who use their Tundra for work, camping, or off-roading where protecting the rocker panel from debris is just as important as having a solid foothold. It turns the side of the truck into a functional platform rather than just a smooth surface.
• Best for Total Interior Coverage: SUPER LINER Tesla wins decisively with its 13-piece set that protects the frunk, trunk, consoles, seats, and sills, whereas Tyger Auto focuses solely on the exterior entry points.
• Best for Specific Vehicle Fitment: SUPER LINER is exclusive to the 2025–2026 Model Y Juniper Premium/Performance, while Tyger Auto is locked to the 2022–2027 Tundra CrewMax; neither fits other models.
• Best for All-Weather Cleanup: The TPE material of the SUPER LINER set allows for easy rinsing of mud and spills, while Tyger Auto's powder-coated steel resists rust but doesn't contain liquid inside the vehicle.
• Best for Ease of Installation: Both offer straightforward setups, but Tyger Auto emphasizes a 20-minute bolt-on job with no drilling, whereas SUPER LINER requires careful alignment of multiple molded pieces.
• Best for Protecting High-Wear Areas: SUPER LINER targets the interior surfaces most prone to scuffs from shoes and luggage, while Tyger Auto protects the exterior rocker panels from road debris.
• Best for Long-Term Durability: Both use durable materials (TPE and Carbon Steel), but Tyger Auto's 3-year warranty explicitly covers manufacturing defects, adding a layer of assurance for external exposure.
• Best for Family Utility: SUPER LINER is better for managing pets and kids' messes inside the cabin, while Tyger Auto helps children and adults climb in and out of a tall truck safely.
In my opinion, the right choice depends entirely on your vehicle and your primary pain point, but for car detailing enthusiasts who want to maintain a showroom-clean interior, the SUPER LINER Tesla is the clear winner. Its comprehensive 13-piece approach to sealing the cabin against dirt, moisture, and scuffs is unmatched by any single-purpose accessory. However, if you drive a Tundra CrewMax and struggle with the height of the bed or need to protect the rocker panels from trail damage, the Tyger Auto Trax Side Steps are indispensable. I would personally recommend the SUPER LINER set for the Tesla owner because the cost of repairing stained carpets or damaged upholstery far exceeds the investment in a full protective suite. For the Tundra driver, the Tyger Auto steps are essential for safety and utility. Ultimately, choose the tool that solves your specific problem: keep the inside clean with SUPER LINER, or make the outside accessible with Tyger Auto.
No, the SUPER LINER set is designed specifically for the 2025–2026 Model Y Juniper Premium and Performance trims. It is not compatible with the Standard trim, older 2020–2024 models, or 7-seat configurations due to differences in the 3D laser-scanned contours.
No, the installation is a bolt-on process that does not require drilling. The kit includes all necessary hardware to mount onto the rocker panel, and the manufacturer states it can be completed in approximately 20 minutes.
They are constructed from 2-inch diameter carbon steel to ensure they remain steady and robust under heavy loads.
The water-resistant TPE surfaces are designed to be wiped clean or rinsed off with water. After washing, you must allow the pieces to dry completely before reinstalling them in the vehicle to prevent moisture buildup.
