Detailed Camp Info

LOCATION: Herkimer County Community College located in central N.Y. State, between Syracuse and Albany (one hour drive from either) in Herkimer, NY. HCCC is minutes from NYS Thruway Exit 30 and is easy to get to from anywhere in the North East. (See Map to HCCC)

FACILITIES: There are two gyms, a large aerobics room, tennis courts, track, golf course, hiking trails, a fitness center, a 500-person auditorium, and great dining and dorm facilities. The campus also has plenty of space for outside training if the weather permits.

PROGRAM: Super Summer Seminars is open to any martial artist regardless of style, system, or affiliation. You will have the opportunity to meet our SPECIAL GUEST INSTRUCTORS and our other staff members at our Orientation Meeting Friday night. Super Summers’ staff consists of 25+ expert instructors representing many styles and systems. The fee for the weekend, $230 per person (dbl rm), and includes five meals(starting with breakfast Saturday morning), room, entertainment and approximately 50 seminars (A Huge Value). Classes and demonstrations begin early in the morning and end at 9 p.m. on Saturday and at 5 p.m. on Sunday. Saturday evening, after dinner, we have demos and awards. Complete info including confirmation, directions, and class schedule, will be emailed or mailed to you upon registration. Single rooms and day passes for one or both training days are also available.

KIDS POLICY: SSS is NOT a kid's camp - Children 16 and under MUST be supervised by a parent or an adult approved by the parent. We do not accept participants under the age of 12.

WHAT TO BRING: Blanket, Pillow, Sheets, pillowcases, towels, toiletries, snacks, uniforms, sneakers, and comfortable clothes. (Also martial arts weapons and sparring gear if required for seminars you will be attending.) Remember to order our specially designed annual Super Summer T-shirt when you register - they will be in limited supply at the camp.The only other things you will need are a good attitude, an open mind, and a desire to learn from each other and our fantastic instructors. Super Summers is friendly, fun, and a real learning experience.

RESERVATIONS: REGISTER ONLINE until JUNE 25th. Or use the registration form and simply mail it in. Snail mail must be POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN, JUNE 25th

LATE RESERVATIONS: if postmarked after June 25th add $20. (Camp T-Shirts might not be available if you register late)

PAYMENT IN FULL: must accompany your form or online registration. Please make check or M.O. payable to: Super Summer Seminars, 309 Miller Ave, Herkimer, NY 13350. We will email you all the camp confirmation materials. If you do not have reliable email access, include a SASE (Legal Size Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope) with your registration to receive your camp confirmation materials.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations honored ONLY until July 10th (a $30 reservations fee will be deducted). Cancellations that are postmarked after July 10th will be subject to a $100 late cancellation charge. Notice of cancellation must be sent via registered mail. (Include a legal size SASE to receive your refund.)

CHECK IN: will take place Friday from 5-11 p.m. Key Deposit is $10 and will be returned to you at Sunday’s checkout (between 3-5:30 p.m.). Anyone losing a key will be subject to an additional $50 charge to replace the room lock - Don’t lose your key! Please arrive before registration ends. Late arrivals, call us (315-866-2589) in advance so we can make arrangements to get you your key. Read your Confirmation Materials carefully and follow all the directions.

ATTENDEE CLASSIFICATIONS: Participant = (full participation, staying on campus), Commuter = (full participation, not staying on campus), Non-Participant = (Staying on campus, not training in seminars)

ROOMMATES: Please send the registration forms in together to avoid confusion.You will receive one confirmation per room. If you are registering online, everyone must list his or her roommates on their registration form. Anyone under the age of 17 must room with or be under the supervision of an adult at all times, No Exceptions. Groups make sure to list group name consistently to help us assign Dorms.

T-SHIRTS: We have a great new design this year. You can guarantee that you receive a T-shirt by ordering one in advance on the registration form. Please note that the only sizes available are: ADULT: S, M, L, XL, XXL. Sorry, we cannot exchange a T-Shirt for a different size at the camp - be sure to order the proper size in advance. We sold out last year! (Camp T-Shirt May Not Be Available If You Register Late) - If you change your mind or want an extra tee shirt, you can order one through the online store on this website.

NO AIRPORT TRANSPORT: You must make your travel arrangements from the airport.

GROUP DISCOUNTS: (online registration for groups contact director to coordinate) Groups must mail forms in together. #10-14 deduct $10 p/p – #15-19 deduct $15 p/p – #20 & up deduct $20 p/p. All forms must be postmarked by June 15th with payment, to receive the discount,. Indicate roommates by stapling roommate applications together. Discounts do not apply for commuters. Non-Participants may be added to groups to receive the discount. Non-Participants must room with another person. (No private rooms available for non-participants) - Group Deadline is 6/20
