Privacy Policy for Super Security
Super Security ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, store, and use information in our Android cleaning/security app available on Google Play.
A. Device & App Usage Data
To provide core security features, we collect:
— Installed Apps List: When you use Super Security to clean junks you on your device, we may collect your installed applications information. We need to obtain the application list on the user's mobile phone to allow the user to clean up the junk files of applications on the phone. To manage apps and detect potential threats.This app uses Trustlook SDK to detect potential threats. Trustlook SDK provides security service and it will record certain information that included user's installed applications. The data is encrypted and transmitted to Trustlook's cloud server for security detection and security analysis. Because it will analyze the app collection, app static & behavior analysis to give the app risk report.
— Storage Access: We’ll read the application information、file storage information、application cache and multimedia file information installed both in your mobile and SD card, to help you clear junk files including system cache, ads unload residue, empty folders, useless installation packages, temporary files, other files, pictures, audios and videos etc. In this way, we can clear junk files and release more space by scanning and cleaning. And for deeper cleaning, we can also provide you better cleaning effect with auxiliary functions. We’ll also collect the application list and SD card catalog information in your mobile and SD card in the meanwhile for a continues optimized scanning speed and cleaning effect.
— Location Access: In order to ensure your WiFi environment safety, we’ll read your network connection information (eg. WiFi connection status, encryption type, WiFi network connection status, SSID , etc.) and complete WiFi security detection through WiFi information analysis, ARP attack detection, middleman attack detection, etc.
— Device Information: We collect device-specific information (such as your hardware manufacturer & model, operating system version, screen size, CPU model, mobile network information and installed apps) to implement app features, provide our services, and improve the app performance for all our users.
— App Usage Data: We collect usage data includes information relating to the behavior and/or the habit when you are using the app to analyze and improve the user experience. We do not collect the content you may transmit or share within the app.
B. Permissions Requiring Consent
— All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required for deep cleaning/detect potential threats.
— Location (Optional): Only used for location-based WiFi environment safety.
— App Install List: Detect suspicious/malicious apps.
— Foreground Service: To keep the App running while performing cleaning or scanning tasks in the background.
C. Advertising & Analytics
Third-party SDKs collect:
— Advertising IDs (Google Ad ID, IDFA)
— Device Info: Model, OS version, IP address
— Usage Patterns: Feature interactions, session duration
Integrated SDKs:
— Ads: Google Admob, AppLovin, Facebook Audience Network, Pangle
— Analytics: Adjust, Firebase, Facebook Analytics
— Encryption: All transmitted data uses HTTPS/TLS protocols.
— Local Processing: File scans occur on-device; personal media (photos/videos) are NEVER uploaded.
— Retention: Anonymous analytics data stored ≤ 2 years. Advertising IDs reset per device settings.
— Third-Party Transfers: Aggregated data shared with ad/analytics partners as outlined in Section 1C. We DO NOT sell personal data.
— Core Functionality:
– Security detection using hash databases
– Storage optimization via duplicate/media analysis
– Battery/notification management
— Service Improvement: Analyze crash reports/feature usage to fix bugs.
— Advertising: Deliver personalized ads via integrated SDKs. Users may opt-out through device advertising ID settings.
— Security: Detect/block malicious WiFi networks or apps.
Advertising/Analytics partners operate under their own privacy policies:
— Revoke Permissions: Adjust via Android Settings > Apps > Super Security
— Opt-Out of Ads: Android Settings > Google > Ads > Reset Advertising ID
We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13. Contact us immediately if you believe a child has provided information unintentionally.
We will notify users about significant changes via in-app banners or Play Store listings.
