Welcome to Super Ramayana Bros.!
One day in the monkey kingdom, two princely plumber brothers named Rama and Lakshmana were out in the forest chasing a golden goomba. The monster went deeper and deeper into the forest, and the brothers had great fun trying to catch the goomba. Eventually, Rama was able to jump up and land on the monster's head and smash it into dust, gaining 5 coins in the process.
Meanwhile, back in a little home in the forest, Princess Sita was alone. The princess had taken a strong liking to Rama, and even though it was kind of weird that he liked to hang out with his brother so much and wear the same color of red every day, she thought he might be a potential suitor. He was a prince after all, and was well known as a virtuous man in the monkey kingdom. As Sita daydreamed of Rama and how stunning he looked in his red overalls, a strange figure arose from a large green pipe right outside the hut - the King of the Koopas: Ravana. Ravana transformed into a small turtle so Sita would think he was harmless and let him inside the hut. "Aw what a cute little koopa," Sita cooed as she let Ravana inside the little forest home. Once inside the house, Ravana grew to quadruple the size, dragged a kicking and screaming Sita out the front door, and went straight back down the pipe; just as quickly as he appeared, he was gone.
The brothers came back by the hut after a successful hunt for golden coins. Ready to count their winnings, they noticed the door to the hut ajar. Rama looked inside and saw that furniture was knocked over, Sita's shoes were flung to different sides of the main room, and Sita had vanished. "Those are some big footprints leading to and from the pipe," Lakshmana noted from outside. Looking down at the ground, the two brothers noticed a little golden star, and a handful of growth supplements that were in the shapes of little red mushrooms. "These are Sita's items!" Rama exclaimed. There was also a little flag lying on the ground with the face of a Koopa emblazoned in bright red on both sides - a trinket symbolizing Ravana and his kingdom. Knowing the princess wouldn't leave these items behind unless something was really wrong and noting the evil king Ravana's flag, the brothers determined the princess had been kidnapped. "We have to go save the princess," Rama said, and then each brother took his turn leaping into the pipe to begin their treacherous journey.
