Welcome to my website that chronicles my attempt to beat every single Japanese N64 game.
As I go along I am writing translation guides and walkthroughs in the hopes that other people can enjoy these games without having to know too much Japanese. I am trying to beat the games in order of release date as much as possible to give myself a sense of how the N64 evolved.
Generally my criteria for "completing a game" is finishing the main mode and seeing the credits. Some games do not have credits or they are selectable from a menu. In those cases I have to make my best judgement as to what the developers intended the end game to be. I am always welcome to suggestions!
I have played most of the games on the easiest difficulty to make the best use of my time. All my runs are any%. Some times I skipped ahead if a certain game was giving me trouble, rather than giving up completely. The Mahjong games are so difficult that I have decided to tackle them after I have got better at Mahjong.
The games are listed in order of release date. I have translated the titles directly from Japanese so some games have new titles. For example, Turok 2 became Violence Killer in Japan, and Blast Corps became BLAST DOZER. I am also ranking every game and even though the challenge has barely started, I have already found some surprising games!

As of the 18th of July 2022, sixty four games have been beaten. Super B-Daman Battle Phoenix 64 was the 64th title to be completed.
