About Me

I received my PhD in Finance from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in June 2024. I am currently on the faculty at the Eller College of Management, University of Arizona. 

Research

I work in international macro-finance, fiscal policy and asset pricing. My primary research agenda studies  the global ramifications of US fiscal policy.  My papers: i) US Fiscal Cycle, Risk-Sharing and the US Safety Puzzle and ii) Global Footprint of US Fiscal Policy tie the US fiscal condition directly to puzzling phenomena in international macro-finance such as i) the US exorbitant privilege, ii) the dollar's countercyclical dynamics, iii) the global financial cycle in risky asset prices and iv) the countercyclical US wealth share. 

My secondary research agenda studies the granular origins of global financial fluctuations, in particular the role of US Multinationals (MNCs). My papers: i) US Multinational Production and Exchange Rate Factor Structure  and ii) US Multinational Production and the Global Financial Cycle  investigate, both theoretically and empirically, the role that US MNCs play in driving global factor structures in bond, equities and currency markets.

  •  Western Finance Association (WFA): I was awarded the Brattle Group WFA PhD Candidate Award for Outstanding Research (2023)

  • Financial Management Association (FMA): I was the winner of the Best Paper in Investments  Award (2023)

  • Asian Meeting of Econometric Society (AMES):  I was awarded the Young Scholars Fund (YSF) Award for Outstanding Research (2023)

  • European Finance Association (EFA): I was the winner of the Engelbert-Dockner Memorial Prize for the Best Paper by Young Researchers (2023)
