About Me
I received my PhD in Finance from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in June 2024. I am currently on the faculty at the Eller College of Management, University of Arizona.
Research
My work is at the intersection of International Macro-Finance, Political Economy and Asset Pricing. Many of my solo papers are currently going through the R&R process at top journals in econ and finance such as ReStud, JPE and AEJ Macro.
My most active research line studies the US military hegemony and it's role in driving international finance phenomena. Check out my papers: i) Pax Americana: Security, Stability, and the U.S. Exorbitant Privilege , ii) The Security Dividend: U.S. Military Power, Dollar Dominance, and Global Stability and iii) Pax-Americana: US Military Power and Global Financial Cycle
Secondly, I explore the role of US Multinationals (MNCs) in driving global factor structures in bond, equities and currency markets. Check out my papers: i) US Multinational Production and Exchange Rate Factor Structure , ii) US Multinational Production and the Global Financial Cycle and iii) US Multinationals and Global Policy Spillovers
Thirdly, I explore the asset pricing consequences of political
sovereignty, using Brexit and the Euro Zone as case studies. Check out my papers: i) Sovereignty as a Priced Asset: Brexit and UK's Fiscal Capacity, ii) Credibility as a Fiscal Asset: Spread Dynamics in the Eurozone
Finally, I have a brand new line exploring the welfare consequences of US immigration policy. For more, check out my new paper: Immigration, Growth, and the Asset-Price Nexus
