I am a senior research assistant working in the Digital Health and Biomedical Engineering Group, Electronics and Computer Science, Faculty of Engineering and Physical Science, University of Southampton. The current research project focuses on cardiac patches that promote cardiac regeneration and repair.
My journey began with a PhD at Imperial College London, where I designed holographic hydrogel sensors for wound monitoring facilitated by smartphone camera readout. Since then, I've been expanding my research from optical wearable sensing to implantable medical devices, exploring materials like conductive hydrogels and liquid metals and minimally invasive delivery via catheters.
What drives me is a simple vision: make medical devices less invasive, more intelligent, and patient-friendly. Beyond research, I thrive on collaboration, mentorship, and creative problem-solving (and yes, you will probably catch me composing rock music, cycling, or hiking when I am not in the lab).
Always curious, always learning and always up for connecting with people who are building world-changing (for the betterment, I hope) cool things.
