If you want discreet, in-ear earbuds with touch controls and up to six hours of use per charge, choose SUNOL E50; if you need an open-ear fit, earhooks, and longer listed total playtime, choose TAKSTAR LA350W. For nurses, I’d lean toward the TAKSTAR when staying aware of your surroundings matters, while the SUNOL is the simpler fit for someone who prefers a small in-ear design.
SUNOL E50 vs TAKSTAR LA350W at a Glance
• TAKSTAR LA350W’s strength: Open-ear listening with earhooks and up to 50 hours of total playtime with the charging case. Trade-off: Its open design does not provide noise isolation.
• SUNOL E50 is for: People who want a small earbud and straightforward touch control for calls and music.
• TAKSTAR LA350W is for: People who prefer an earhook fit, want to keep their ears unobstructed, or need longer combined playtime.
The SUNOL E50 is a conventional in-ear earbud with a compact, rounded-tip design. Its touch controls handle calls and music, so the basic actions do not require reaching for a phone. Bluetooth 5.3 is listed, with a stated wireless range of up to 10 meters.
Battery life is listed as up to six hours for audio and six hours for talk time per charge. The charging case is described as providing up to 72 hours of battery life, and the earbud’s stated charging time is 40 minutes. The case also has a digital display, which gives you a way to check battery status.
For nurses who prefer a small earbud and want to take calls or manage music with a touch, the E50 may suit breaks, commuting, or personal listening outside patient-facing duties. Its microphone is described as HD and sensitivity-focused, but the provided information does not specify call-quality test results. The E50 also has an IPX4 rating.
How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.

Skip it if you specifically want an open-ear fit or earhooks. The E50 sits in the ear, so it does not match the feel or listening style of the TAKSTAR. And while its case is said to extend total use, its per-charge figure is shorter than the TAKSTAR’s listed 12 hours.
The TAKSTAR LA350W uses an open-ear design with adjustable earhooks. That makes it the more direct choice for someone who does not want an earbud seated inside the ear canal. Its 13 mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.4 connection, and 20 Hz–20 kHz listed frequency range describe the audio hardware, while an ENC microphone is included for calls.
For nurses looking for open ear headphones, the LA350W is the more fitting design of these two. An open-ear style leaves the ear unobstructed, which may be preferable in settings where awareness is important; it should not be treated as a substitute for workplace communication or safety procedures. The earhooks and sport-oriented description may also appeal to people who want a secured fit for movement.
The trade-off is that open-ear listening does not block outside sound. That can make it a poor match for noisy environments or anyone seeking a sealed, isolating fit. The product information lists no noise control, and its call microphone feature is described as ENC noise cancellation, not as a guarantee of crystal-clear calls in every setting.
• Best for an open-ear fit → TAKSTAR LA350W. Its open-air design and adjustable earhooks suit listeners who do not want a conventional in-ear bud.
• Best for a discreet in-ear design → SUNOL E50. Its compact rounded-tip form is the pick if you prefer an earbud that sits in the ear.
• Best for longer listed use per charge → TAKSTAR LA350W. The earphones are listed for up to 12 hours, compared with up to six hours for the E50.
• Best for longer listed total playtime with the case → TAKSTAR LA350W. Its stated total is 50 hours; the E50’s case is described as providing 72 hours of battery life, so compare the figures carefully: the E50’s case figure is presented separately from its six-hour earbud figure, while the TAKSTAR figure is explicitly total playtime.
• Best for touch controls → SUNOL E50. Its touch control design is specified for managing calls and music.
• Best for a newer listed Bluetooth version → TAKSTAR LA350W. It uses Bluetooth 5.4, while the E50 lists Bluetooth 5.3.
• Best for a sports-oriented open-ear design → TAKSTAR LA350W. Its earhooks and IPX4 rating are described for activities such as running, cycling, and workouts.
• Best for a compact option for calls and music → SUNOL E50. It has a built-in microphone and touch controls, though the supplied details do not establish which product delivers better call quality in practice.
For someone searching for the best sports earbuds for nurses, the first question is whether an open-ear fit or an in-ear fit is more appropriate for their routine. The LA350W’s hooks and open design make it the clearer match for movement and awareness. The E50 makes more sense for someone who values a small in-ear form and direct touch control.
In my opinion, I would choose the TAKSTAR LA350W for most nurses who want personal listening in a setting where staying aware of surrounding sounds is useful. Its open-ear fit, earhooks, and 12-hour listed earphone battery life give it the stronger combination for that use case.
I’d choose the SUNOL E50 instead if I wanted a compact in-ear earbud with touch controls and a shorter stated charge time. Neither product’s specifications prove superior call clarity, so I would not pick either on that claim alone.
The TAKSTAR LA350W has an open-ear design, which may suit nurses who want their ears unobstructed. The SUNOL E50 is an in-ear option for those who prefer that fit. Workplace rules and duties should guide whether either is appropriate during a shift.
The LA350W lists up to 12 hours for the earphones and up to 50 hours total with its charging case. The E50 lists up to six hours per charge and describes its case as providing up to 72 hours of battery life; those figures are presented differently, so they are not a direct like-for-like comparison.
Both list an IPX4 rating. The LA350W specifically describes earhooks and a fit intended for activities such as running, cycling, and workouts. The E50 is also presented as a sports-style option, but its design is in-ear rather than open-ear.
Both include call-focused microphone features: the E50 lists an HD, sensitivity-focused microphone, while the LA350W lists an ENC microphone. The provided specifications do not establish which sounds clearer in real-world calls, so there is no factual basis here to declare a winner.
