Sunny Day Montessori Academy is a Licensed Home Child Care which follows a method of education that is based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning, and collaborative exploration. The school follows principles in five learning areas of Montessori education which are Practical Life, Sensorial Activities, Language, Mathematics, and Culture. In addition, the site follows a curriculum for the children to learn concepts in areas of Geography, Zoology, Botany, History, Science, Arts, and Music. 

The mission of the school is to offer high quality hands-on year round education, specializing in the care of student learning. The goal of the Montessori school is to help children develop their potential in their cognitive, social, emotional, language development, and fine motor skills. The school has a daily schedule consisting of: morning circle time, Montessori activities, morning snacks, guided play time, lunch, nap time, afternoon snacks, more Montessori activities, afternoon circle time, and dismissal.
