For this project we had to divert the primary use of clothing, for example by wearing pants as a dress or a shirt as a skirt.
So I found volumes, cuts, seams, different and original, which allowed me to create research boards that I reworked in decoupage collage. I was also able to draw a colorful range from it.
The gray gives a calm and technical aspect, its different shades highlight the cut of the garment.
I also made a textile creation with sugar which gives it a tarry and raw side which contrasts with the lightness of the transparent fabric that is the organza. The red adds a more dramatic and sentimental side which stands out even more with the gray
Finally, for the result, I chose to accentuate this raw and protective aspect by creating a metal chain overskirt, like an armor that protects the sensitive side. Its heaviness counteracts the natural fall of the fabric underneath while following the lines of the body.
