If you want a reliable, comfortable in-ear solution for the gym and casual water exposure, choose SUNGOOYUE IPX7; if you need a dedicated over-ear bone conduction device built specifically for best open ear earbuds for swimming and total submersion, choose I love e iFecco IP68. These two products occupy entirely different spaces in the audio market, serving users with very distinct priorities regarding water resistance and how they listen to music while moving.
• SUNGOOYUE IPX7: Strength lies in its secure ergonomic fit and solid battery life for daily workouts; trade-off is it lacks true underwater capability or onboard storage.
• I love e iFecco IP68: Strength is its full submersion rating and 8GB internal MP3 player for phone-free laps; trade-off is the specific bone conduction sound profile which may not appeal to bass lovers.
• Best for: The SUNGOOYUE pick is for runners and gym-goers who sweat but rarely dive; the I love e iFecco pick is for serious swimmers and triathletes.
The SUNGOOYUE IPX7 headphones are designed primarily for the active user who needs a dependable companion for high-intensity training without the complexity of specialized sports gear. These earbuds feature an ergonomic design that prioritizes comfort, ensuring they stay in place during vigorous movement. The material construction uses durable ABS, which helps them withstand the rigors of fitness activities. If your routine involves heavy sweating, rain-soaked runs, or intense cardio sessions where your ears might get wet, these earbuds offer an IPX7 rating that handles such conditions effectively. They are not built for diving, but they are robust enough to handle the splashes and moisture common in a standard workout environment.
Battery performance is a standout feature for this model. With a charging case equipped with an 800mAh capacity, you can expect between 5 to 6 hours of continuous use on a single charge. This duration is substantial for a typical gym session or a long commute. When the earbuds run low, simply placing them back in the case automatically recharges them, extending your listening time significantly. This makes them an excellent choice for those who do not want to constantly hunt for a power outlet during their day. The efficient technology also ensures seamless connectivity with smartphones, tablets, and laptops, providing stable calls and music playback without noticeable interference.

However, there are clear boundaries to what this product can do. While they are suitable for sports and can withstand sweat and rain, they are not rated for submersion. You cannot take these into a pool or a shower. Furthermore, they rely entirely on a Bluetooth connection to your phone; there is no mention of onboard storage for music. If you plan to leave your phone behind at home or in a locker, these earbuds will be silent unless you carry your device with you. They are ideal for someone who wants a standard pair of wireless earbuds that can handle the occasional splash and offer all-day comfort, but they are not a substitute for dedicated swim equipment.
The I love e iFecco IP68 headphones represent a specialized category of audio gear: bone conduction swimming headphones. These are engineered for users who demand total freedom from wires and water restrictions. The defining characteristic here is the IP68 rating, which goes far beyond the capabilities of standard sports earbuds. This device is fully submersible, capable of withstanding depths up to 3 meters for more than 60 minutes. This makes it the definitive choice for anyone looking for over ear headphones for swimming who intends to actually go underwater, whether for lap swimming, surfing, or kayaking. The design keeps your ears completely open, allowing you to hear your surroundings while listening to music through your cheekbones, which is critical for safety in open water or crowded pools.
A major advantage for independent athletes is the integrated 8GB MP3 player. This eliminates the need to tether yourself to a smartphone during your workout. You can store over 2,000 songs directly on the device and sync them via a magnetic cable. Once synced, you can head straight to the water or trail without carrying a phone. This is particularly useful for best bluetooth headset for swimming scenarios where phone usage is impractical or prohibited. The device switches modes seamlessly; when you go underwater, you simply switch to MP3 mode since Bluetooth signals do not transmit well through water. The Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity remains available for surface use, offering low latency and extended range for quick pairing with your devices.
Durability and weight are also key considerations for this model. Weighing only 28 grams, the titanium frame ensures the headphones remain ultra-lightweight even during prolonged wear. They are shatterproof and sweatproof, designed to endure the physical stress of sprints, flip turns, and mountain trails. The battery life supports up to 8 hours of playtime, which is sufficient for marathon running, all-day cycling, or multiple swim sessions before needing a recharge. The controls are straightforward button presses, including a shuffle function accessible by pressing the "+" button three times in MP3 mode. This product is strictly for those who need a rugged, purpose-built tool for aquatic sports and outdoor endurance activities.

• Best for durability in harsh water → I love e iFecco IP68. It is built to survive submersion and saltwater exposure, while the SUNGOOYUE is only rated for sweat and rain.
In my opinion, the decision comes down to one question: do you intend to swim? If your primary goal is for swimming, the I love e iFecco IP68 is the only logical choice. Its ability to handle full submersion and its onboard storage make it a superior tool for aquatic sports. The SUNGOOYUE IPX7 is a solid piece of hardware for general fitness, but it simply cannot compete when the water gets deep. I would buy the I love e iFecco IP68 because it offers a unique, specialized experience that solves the problem of listening to music while underwater, a task the SUNGOOYUE physically cannot perform. For the swimmer, the extra cost and specific design are worth every penny to get that underwater audio experience.
