There are two well known stories for Pisces, the first one is that Mother Earth sent Typhon to attack the Olympian Gods. Aphrodite and her son, Eros hid among reeds on the bank of the River Euphrates.Then Aphrodite got spooked and pulled Eros into the river where they both turned into fish. The second story is that an egg fell into the water,and two fish rolled it ashore. On land, doves sat on the egg until Aphrodite hatched from it. Out of gratitude to the two fish, she placed them in the constellations as Pisces.
