This project involved coming up with a painting residents could paint for a paint and sip program.
The reason behind doing programs is to create a community in the residence halls where residents can either socialize or participate in an event that educates them.
The painting that I chose was Mountain Reflections Painting #4 by Bob Ross.
I decided that instead of having everyone paint their own, we would split it up into sections and each person who wanted to would get a section.
Then I numbered the sections:
Once I split it into the boxes, I split the painting up into 30 pieces to give to each resident that wanted to paint it.
Once the residents painted their squares, we collected them and organized it into the finished piece above. Then the residents were given the option to take home their squares or just take photos of the finished piece.
It was a very successful program with about 70 residents attending from a few different halls. The residents who did not participate in this project were given blank canvases and hanging chalkboards to paint.
