This project involved marketing a program called Condom Olympics. The point of the program was to educate about sexual wellness in a way that engaged the residents in a fun way.
The reason behind doing programs is to create a community in the residence halls where residents can either socialize or participate in an event that educates them.
One of the activities in the event was a race to see who could put the condom on a banana the fastest.
Another was filling a condom with water and tossing back and forth and each time they took a step further from each other and the pair that could last the longest without dropping it won.
And a third put a number of fact about sexual awareness that were split into two in a condom and the residents were supposed to pop them and match them up. The resident who did it the qickest and had the most correct won.
When I designed the posters I took inspiration from the bananas in one of the events and made it into a cartoon with a condom.
The idea came from old advertisement cartoons that had walking food items like the drive-in movie intermission ad video that shows up in the 1978 Grease movie that stars John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.
