Composting

The Land and Water Team is collaborating with Beaufort County to assist in educating residents regarding the new composting pilot program.  Educational activities include workshops for SCEC members, participation by the County at Earth Day, postings regarding the program on Facebook, and discussions regarding the potential of a Sun City drop off location, which would increase participation in the program.  Although the Team is not involved in the eventual decision, we hope to “open the door” to discussions between the County and our Board of Directors.
