Battery-Powered Landscape Equipment

Several years ago, the Land and Water Team members spent a lot of time researching the benefits of switching from gas powered lawn equipment to battery powered, especially leaf blowers and trimmers.  A well-researched proposal and a presentation were made to the Board of Directors, with the approach being to reduce noise and air pollution for Sun City residents.  The proposal was turned down by the Board.  Since that time, the Team has continued to educate our community members regarding the benefits of this type of change through articles, postings on Facebook, and Earth Day displays.
