"Summer Love Song" (also known as "Summer Love") is a song by Brooke Hyland, as her first officially recorded song as a musician. A snippet was first heard on the show in Night of the Living Dancers when Brooke gave off an excerpt of the song at her voice lesson: "Spin that record round and round, 'cause I can't get enough of that summer sound!"

It wasn't looked at again until New Girl In Town, where Paige and Brooke recorded their own version of the song, and the music video was recorded in Solo Fever -- the video directed by Abby herself.

Farewell My Summer Love is a compilation album of archived Michael Jackson songs recorded from January to October 1973.[1] The album was released with updated musical production by Motown Records in the United States on May 8, 1984.

Farewell My Summer Love was released by Motown Records. However, at the time of the release of the album in 1984, Jackson was already signed to Epic Records. He and the rest of The Jacksons musical group (with the exception of Jermaine Jackson) had moved away from Motown to Epic in 1975, and Michael also had a solo deal at Epic. Epic Records released Jackson's huge selling Off the Wall (1979) and the mega-selling Thriller (1982) albums. Thriller, in fact, went on to become the world's best-selling album, making Jackson a global superstar. Motown Records, in an attempt to capitalize off the mega-success of their former artist, released this compilation of songs during the Thriller era. The nine songs contained on Farewell My Summer Love were reportedly "lost" by Motown, but supposedly rediscovered in 1984, around the height of Jackson's career.[3] Although Farewell My Summer Love was released in 1984, it features a somewhat younger sounding Jackson as the songs had been recorded over a decade prior.

To give the album a more contemporary sound, Motown remixed the songs and added new musical overdubs. The task of playing the updated sound was given to musicians Tony Peluso, Michael Lovesmith, and Steve Barri. Together with drummer Mike Baird, they recorded new guitar, keyboard, and percussion drum parts for the songs. Upon its release, the album peaked at No. 46 on the US Billboard Top 200 Album chart and No. 9 on the UK Albums Chart and to date has sold approximately one million copies worldwide.[4] On July 9, 1984, the album was certified Gold by the BPI for selling at least 100,000 copies in the United Kingdom.[5]

The title song became a moderate hit, reaching No. 38 on the US Hot 100, and a Top 10 hit in the UK, reaching No. 7. A follow-up single, "Touch the One You Love", was released in the US and backed by "Girl You're So Together", but it failed to chart on the US Hot 100.[citation needed] In the UK, "Girl You're So Together" was released as a single, with "Touch the One You Love" on the B-side, and became a moderate hit, reaching the UK top 40.[6]

For many years, Farewell My Summer Love had not seen a re-release and is considered to be one of Jackson's most obscure albums. The 1995 version of the compilation album Anthology features the song "Farewell My Summer Love" in its 1984 remix version, as well as "Melodie", "Don't Let It Get You Down", "Call on Me" and "To Make My Father Proud" in their original 1973 versions.[7] All nine undubbed versions, as well as the 1984 mixes, were finally released on Hello World: The Motown Solo Collection in June 2009. In 2018, Music on CD reissued the album with all nine tracks remastered.[8]

Summer Love Songs is a 2009 compilation of music by the Beach Boys released through Capitol Records. The compilation, as the title suggests, is themed around love songs and contains 20 songs recorded from 1963-1970 that fit this theme. Included are new stereo mixes of "Don't Worry Baby", "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" (featuring a never before heard intro), "Hushabye", "I'm So Young", "Good to My Baby" and "Time to Get Alone". Making its CD debut in a revised mix is the song "Fallin' in Love" by Dennis Wilson that was released as the b-side of his "Sound of Free" single in 1970.

The old hotel, I am discovering, has a soundtrack, and it plays my kind of music. The music suggests a lot of things, that some of the people at least are interested in the art and politics of song and have spent time thinking about it. Ever since I heard Phil Ochs in 1964, I have been on a lonely pilgrimage through through folk music and then the electronic music that followed Dylan back down Highway 61. Even after Dylan went electric I continued to listen to much of the folk music that preceded it. Neither the socially conscious folk music nor Dylan himself were big items on Southern college campuses in the early 60s. The hotel was another world. When I think about the old hotel, even now, I hear it better than I see it.

So much of the summer is organized around music. In nearby New Haven, there is a folk club where a regional hero Randy Burns plays often. There is a series of concerts at the Yale Bowl. I am able to see Simon and Garfunkel and the Loving Spoonful one night and The Four Tops and The Temptations another. And then there is the coastal highway which takes us to Newport, Provincetown, Boston and New York. In Provincetown, I hear Tom Rush on one visit and the Jim Queskin Jug Band on another. In Boston, we sit on a hill outside a sold-out performance and listen to Velvet Underground through the windows. At the Newport Folk Festival, we see Pete Seeger, Judy Collins, and many regional folk musicians. We go to New York a number of times but one day get exceptionally lucky. We see Richie Havens for the first time in a free concert and then later that night we get to see Neil Diamond doing all those great early Brill Building songs in a village club.

The days and nights are perfect, but the coming and going of each one makes the end of the summer closer. Finally, Labor Day arrives and the season ends. It takes a few days to get the hotel ready for winter. After that, Sue and I drive to New York for a few days and then I take her home to Pennsylvania, where I spend a couple of days. I wish for more privacy, but I am nonetheless happy to be with her and torn about leaving. Sometimes, I have thought that if we had a $1,000 between us we would have gotten married right then. Still, being with her any way I can is better than not at all as I will discover the morning I leave to drive home. It is the loneliest drive of my life.

Throughout the night, the waters of the Long Island pounded in my head posing a question that seemed like the question of my life. What would have happened had I reached out for what I wanted with Sue? The adult in me insisted this relationship would have fallen into a familiar pattern and ended like all the others. But the young man, still alive, countered that life with Sue might have changed the pattern and set me on a different course. In the pre-dawn hours, the pounding of the water on the rocks brought up something from that summer and changed it slightly to make it more dramatic.

This is a dance pop song with reggae taste as its essence, something thar is not currently heard in D.D.R. original songs. Summer is almost here, but for those who couldn't spend a summer-like summer this year, by all means, I want you to play this song. And I would be happy if you enjoy a hot and sweet summer (love), even virtually. (laughs)

Would anyone like to do a reggae-like performance to this song?

"Summer Love" is a song written by Rivers Cuomo and Toby Gad. It is suspected, though not confirmed, that the song is either the same or similar to the song "Mexican Fender" (also written by Cuomo and Gad). The song's existence became known after the title was added to the BMI Repertoire (#19828338). The song's BMI Work number suggests that it was written around 2014.

The Summer I Turned Pretty is a romantic television series created by Jenny Han who is also the author of the book The Summer I Turned Pretty. The storyline and soundtrack are extremely appreciated by the audience as the show became extremely popular. The series follows a girl named Belly, who we find in a love triangle between two brothers, this spikes the interest of the audience immediately and is complimented by the perfect soundtrack, especially for those who are Swifties.

The song, originally titled Summer Luv, was initially written in 2016. The second demo of the track was recorded in October 2016, with the third version of the song being developed in March 2017. The leaked demo tracks include altered and unpolished production, different vocal takes, and unused lyrics in the bridge as notable differences. An additional demo with an alternate chorus leaked on June 4th 2022.

Lyrically, Summer Love is about a new summer romance and the rush of feelings during the early stages of a relationship. Jepsen discusses the idea of being so devoted to one person that she lives for the feeling of being together and describes how she will wait for her partner even when apart. Summer Love is a likely continuation of the summer relationship Jepsen sings about across both Dedicated albums.

In spite of being known as a genre that produces aggressive content, rap artists have always been comfortable sharing matters of the heart within their rhymes, giving their music a vulnerability that humanizes them and casts them as mortals who can be infatuated, love-lorn, scandalous, lonely or simply fed up just like everyone else. Throughout the '90s and early 2000s, some of the greatest rap love songs were released, many of which rank among the overall greatest rap songs of all-time and have become synonymous with hip-hop itself. e24fc04721
