Summer Kim
I'm an art student who really love my cat and art!
I've learned about cross-contour drawing, objective drawing, and how to use Photoshop throughout this course.
In the future, I want to be an artist who can inspire people. This portfolio class helped for progressing my skills and ideas of my artworks. Especially, I am really thankful to Mrs. Kate because she supported and advised me. As a result, I was able to get a conditional offer from OCAD. This semester emceed for the online class because of the COVID-19 and it was pretty hard to draw focusing on my artworks. However, our class finished the curriculum well. Especially, learning how to use Photoshop was very excited and helpful.
A self-portrait
Size: A3
I inspired this style by Arcimboldo who is a famous painter. He painted people who are made by vegetables and fruits. Also, this project was what I most hated...
A fluffy gift
for my fluffy friend
A soft objective drawing
Size: A2
My lovely fluffy friend, Jang gun likes to be on a soft cushion or blanket. I want to give this knit blanket to him!
A cover page
I designed other early designs of my logo but nothing couldn't caught my eyes. I got the idea of a logo from my block print that I've done before, and I drew my cat for the logo. Also, the logo has used on my cover page!
A business card
The logo was used on my business card and the colour of this card is similar to the cat's food box. I put the darker colour on the information including phone number, email address, and name. It can seem the animal doctor's business card but I believe simple is the best.
