I am an Assistant Professor on tenure track at the department of economics at Humboldt University, Berlin.
My research interests lie at the intersection of empirical political economy, labor, and migration. I study how social classifications such as race, migrant status, and minority identity emerge, become politically salient, and shape economic behavior and outcomes.
I received my PhD from the Paris School of Economics. I am a Research Affiliate at IZA, a Research Associate at the RF Berlin Institute for the Economy and the Future of Work, a fellow at the Institut Convergences Migrations and the Berlin Centre for Empirical Research on Migration and Integration (BIM).
