Memory
Laboratory of neurophysiology of memory at KBRI studies the neural mechanisms of the modulation of emotional/social memory. Major techniques for the research is electrophysiology, such as whole-cell patch clamp and in vivo unit recording method.Â
There are two major research topics. One is the studies on the neural mechanisms of fear renewal (animal model of post-traumatic stress disorders), and the other is studies on the neural circuits of the social fear modulation (animal model of social anxiety disorders).
