Sukun ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Sukun mobile application.

1. Account Information

Sukun does not require account creation to use the app. Most features (prayer times, Qibla direction, dhikr and notifications) are fully available without signing in.

• Optional Sign-In: A small number of premium features — specifically the Quran recitation review feature, which relies on a token-based purchase system — require signing in with a Google (Gmail) account. This sign-in exists solely to save your purchased tokens and link them to your account, so your balance is preserved and can be restored if you reinstall the app or switch devices.

• Information Collected: When you sign in with Google, we collect and store your email address, a unique user identifier (UID), your token balance, and your purchase history, using Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) as our backend provider.

• No Sign-In Required for Core Features: If you do not use the Quran recitation review feature, you never need to sign in, and no account-related data is collected.

• Data Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by submitting a request through our contact page: https://www.pixelsagaai.art/contact, or by emailing us at the address listed in Section 10.

2. Microphone and Audio Data (Quran Recitation Feature)

Sukun offers an optional feature that allows signed-in users to record their Quran recitation for automated feedback.

• Purpose: When you use this feature, audio captured by your device's microphone is streamed to our secure server in real time for the sole purpose of analyzing your recitation and generating feedback.

• Processing and Retention: Audio is processed to generate a text transcription and recitation analysis. The audio itself is not permanently stored on our servers; it is processed transiently for the duration of the session and then discarded. The resulting recitation results (score and word-level feedback) are stored locally on your device and, where applicable, associated with your account to sync your progress.

• Consent: This feature is entirely optional and requires explicit microphone permission, which you may grant or deny. Denying this permission does not affect the rest of the app's functionality.

3. Location Data (Optional)

Sukun requests access to your device's location to provide core features like accurate prayer times and Qibla direction.

• Choice & Consent: Users can choose whether to allow location access. The app remains functional even if this permission is denied, though location-based features will be limited.

• Types of Location: The app may request both Approximate and Precise location.

• Ephemeral Processing: Location data is processed locally and ephemerally on the device. It is used only for real-time calculations and is not stored on our servers or transmitted to any external party.

4. Notifications (Optional)

The app uses notifications to remind users of prayer times and provide dhikr alerts.

• User Control: Notifications are entirely optional. Users can enable or disable these alerts at any time through the app settings or the device's system settings.

• Local Generation: All notification triggers are generated locally on your device.

5. Purchases

Sukun offers optional in-app purchases (tokens used to unlock the Quran recitation review feature) processed through Google Play Billing, and requires signing in with Google as described in Section 1 so that purchased tokens are saved to your account.

• Payment Information: We do not directly collect or store your payment card details. All payment processing is handled securely by Google Play.

• Purchase Records: We store a record of completed purchases (product ID and amount of tokens granted) linked to your account, in order to credit your purchase, preserve your balance, and prevent duplicate redemption.

6. Data Security and Sharing

• Encryption: All data handled by the app is encrypted in transit.

• Limited Third-Party Sharing: We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate the app (Google Firebase for authentication and data storage, and Google Play Billing for purchases). We do not sell, trade, or otherwise share user data with third parties for their own independent purposes.

• Data Storage: Account-related data (email, UID, token balance, purchase history) is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure, and only for users who choose to sign in. Location and notification data are processed locally on your device and are not stored on our servers.

7. Children's Privacy

Sukun does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the details below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We recommend reviewing this page periodically for any changes. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
