I am a research economist in the Economics and Research Department of the Banco de Portugal. My work focuses on household finance, financial contracting, and empirical banking, with a recent emphasis on climate-related risks and the role of banks in supporting firms and households through the green transition.
I also serve as an invited Assistant Professor at FEP - School of Economics and Management, University of Porto, and at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, where I teach financial economics, (micro)econometrics, and dissertation seminars on climate risk and banking. In November 2025, I will join HKU Business School as a Research Assistant Professor.
Beyond scholarship, I develop data and analytics tools. I have worked with teams at the Banco de Portugal Microdata Research Laboratory (BPLIM) and at the European Financial Data Institute (CNRS) to build financial databases and visualization resources.
