Sujaya Sircar
Hi, welcome to my webpage. I am an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. I completed my masters from the Centre of International Trade and Development (with specialization in World Economy), Jawaharlal Nehru University and received my PhD from the Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi. My Ph. D. thesis is currently under review at the Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi.
My research areas include Environmental Economics, Labour Economics and Development Economics. My recent paper studies the impact of temperature on test performance of students in secondary education in India. I exploit the variation in test time temperature across test days for each student. My dataset consists of secondary (class X) students for the years 2012 to 2015 from the Central Board of Secondary Education (which is a board with an all-India presence).
