Top reasons we love the Aktiv:

• Owners: Hymer Aktivs owners are the best and most helpful
• Cassette toilet: We boondock so dump stations are not always available. We keep our black water tank fresh and the water level low since we have the option to quickly and cleanly dump in toilets (e.g., home, gas stations, restaurants, hotels).
• ProMaster is less than 20 feet long: The turning radius is small. Parallel parking is easy. Many towns place parking restrictions on vehicles over 20'. The Aktiv fits standard parking places, except low clearance parking structures.
• Best floor plan: The Aktiv is packed with everything we need plus lots of storage space for more. We never fold up the bed. You Tube's We're the Russos is a must see.
• Ecotrek lithium batteries, solar panels and VoltStart: Worry-free available electricity is freedom.
• Gas engine: diesel gives 20 MPG but 15.5 MPG with cheaper gas is better for us. The availability of low-cost and high-quality of ProMaster repairs tips the scale away from Mercedes and GM.
• Queen size bed: Sam is 6'1".
