Quiet Dinette Table

We usually leave SUIET's dinette table up and folded so we always have a small table in our home. Sometimes we drive with the table down and it swings and bangs at every turn. Sam suggested adding a magnet and Kathy though Velcro would look better and would be easiest to install. We bought both and installed the Velcro. The Velcro works great and the magnet is in the drawer if the Velcro adhesive gives out.

The installation takes about 1 minute and costs less than $1.

Tools:

• None

Parts

• 3/4" square Velcro pads with adhesive (picture 1)
• Home Depot sells a 1/2" magnet set but we won't use it unless the Velcro peels off.
• Optional: bottle of wine.

Installation

• Put the fuzzy side of the Velcro under the front passenger-side corner of the half-folded table (picture 2).
• Lightly stick the hooked side on the fuzzy side, lower the table and press hard against the wall.
• Open a bottle of wine and let it breathe while the pressure sensitive adhesive sets into the surfaces.
• Open table, leaving the fuzzy Velcro under the table and the hooked Velcro patch on the wall (picture 3). BTW: the fuzzy is on the table so it doesn't snag clothing.
• Pour the wine and be proud.
