SugarTrack ("the app," "we," "us") is a private, offline logbook for tracking blood glucose readings during gestational diabetes. We built SugarTrack to keep your health information entirely on your own device. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how.
Summary
•
We do not collect, transmit, or store your data on any server.
•
We do not require an account, email, or sign-in.
•
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
•
All your data stays on your device unless you choose to export and share it yourself.
Information we collect
We do not collect any personal or health information.
SugarTrack has no servers and no backend. The app does not send your data anywhere. Everything you enter — glucose readings, meal notes, medication flags, targets, and settings — is stored only in a local database on your device.
We do not collect names, email addresses, account identifiers, advertising IDs, location, contacts, or any analytics or usage data.
How your data is stored
All information you enter is saved locally on your device using on-device storage (a local SQLite database). This data is accessible only to the app on your device and is never uploaded, synced, or backed up to us or to any third party by the app.
If your device has its own system-level backup enabled (for example, a device or cloud backup you have configured in your phone's settings), the app's local data may be included in that backup according to your own device settings. This is controlled entirely by you and your device's operating system, not by SugarTrack.
Sharing and exporting (PDF reports)
SugarTrack lets you generate a PDF report of your readings and share it using your device's standard share feature (for example, to email it to your doctor or send it to a printer). The app itself does not transmit this file anywhere. If you choose to share or export a report, you decide where it goes, and that action is handled by the apps and services you select. We are not involved in and have no access to anything you share.
Permissions we use
SugarTrack requests only the permissions needed for on-device features:
•
Notifications — to show the post-meal test timer and remind you when a test is due. Notifications are generated entirely on your device.
•
Exact alarms / scheduling — so the post-meal reminder fires at the correct time, even if your device's clock or time zone changes.
•
Run after device restart — so a scheduled reminder is not lost if your device restarts before the timer ends.
•
Vibrate — so reminders can alert you.
The app does not request internet access, location, camera, contacts, or microphone permissions.
Third parties
SugarTrack does not include third-party analytics, advertising networks, social network SDKs, or trackers. No third party receives your data through the app.
Children's privacy
SugarTrack is intended for adults managing gestational diabetes. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Data retention and deletion
Because your data lives only on your device, you are always in control of it. You can delete individual readings within the app at any time. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all of its locally stored data from your device.
