WAGOLL

Before you begin, have a look at these fantastic GIFs created by our year 7, 8 and 10 students:

  1. Have a quick look at some amazing examples of what can be created using Pixilart: https://www.pixilart.com/gallery Click on the ones that have 'GIF' in the top right corner and watch how they move.

  2. Then either download the Pixilart app on your phone (it's free) or you can go onto the website: https://www.pixilart.com/draw

  3. Watch this YouTube clip showing you the absolute basics of using Pixilart: https://youtu.be/fsH2BwwEB8E and this one that shows you how you can create effects like snow fall https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BB5tlhoqtWM&t=43s

  4. I would like you to create an animated GIF that could be used by a small local business to you. They will use it on their Twitter account as part of a tweet to catch their customers attention. For example, you could create an animated GIF of sprinkles falling onto a cupcake for a local cake shop. Or a little animated bike GIF for a cycle shop tweet. Or even a little cat GIF where the cat’s tail moves and its eyes blink for a local pet shop. Be creative with your ideas.

  5. Make a plan for your animation. This could be a quick sketch on paper or simply in your head but you must have a clear idea what you are going to create before you make it.

  6. Create your animated Pixilart GIF following the instructions in the above Youtube video.

  7. Once you have finished, download the GIF to your device following the instructions at the end of the YouTube video.
