# Sudoku Glow Privacy Policy
*Last updated: 2026-08-13*
Sudoku Glow ("the app", "we") is a Sudoku app for iOS and Android. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the app, and why.
1. What we do NOT collect
Sudoku Glow doesn't require creating an account or identifying yourself in any way. We don't collect your name, email, or any other personal data directly.
2. Data stored on your own device
All of your progress — games, statistics, streaks, achievements, Adventure mode progress, and your preferences (language, light/dark theme, etc.) — is stored **only on your device**, locally. It never leaves your phone or passes through our servers, because we don't run our own servers for this data. If you uninstall the app, this progress is lost.
3. Notifications
If you turn on the daily challenge reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your own device (through the operating system). We don't send these notifications from any external server, and you can turn them off at any time from the app's Settings or your device's system settings.
4. Advertising
Sudoku Glow shows video ads in exchange for in-game rewards (extra hints, extra lives, etc.), served through **Google AdMob**. To show and measure these ads, AdMob may collect:
- Advertising-related device identifiers (e.g. Apple's IDFA).
- Basic technical data (device model, OS version, approximate country/region-level location).
- Interaction with the ads themselves (impressions, whether the video was completed).
On iOS, the first time an ad is shown we'll ask for your explicit permission for cross-app tracking (App Tracking Transparency) — you can decline, and the app will keep working the same way, showing non-personalized ads instead. You can change this decision at any time from system Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
Google's own privacy policy governs how this data is handled: [Google's advertising policy](https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads).
5. Crash and error reporting
We use Sentry to catch app errors/crashes so we can fix them. When the app crashes or hits an error, Sentry collects technical details about it — device model, OS version, and what the app was doing at the time. We don't enable session recording or any other extra data collection beyond what's needed to diagnose the error itself.
This data goes to our Sentry account and is used only to find and fix bugs — never sold or used for advertising. Sentry's own privacy policy: [sentry.io/privacy](https://sentry.io/privacy/).
6. Children
Sudoku Glow isn't specifically directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children.
7. Your rights
Since we don't store identifiable personal data on any server of our own, there's no account or profile to request, export, or delete on our end — uninstalling the app removes all locally-stored progress. For anything related to ads or crash reporting, you can exercise your rights directly with the respective provider through their own privacy policy (links in sections 4 and 5).
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way (for example, adding a new feature that collects data), we'll update this page and the date above.
9. Contact
