Hello. Two days ago, I downloaded or rather updated my iOS to 10.3 on my iPad and my iPhone. Since then, I have been unable to play my daily sudoku puzzle, which I never had problems with before. It is from games.everythingzoomer.com and it is The Daily Sudoku , if you google it. What happens is that when you hit Play Now, the next window is a 26 second ad, and then the next window says "placing numbers" ..... at that point the next screen shows the day of the week with the rectangle outlined in orange. Normally when you tap that window the puzzle appears. However, since the update, that screen stays frozen and I cannot do a thing. Taping the forward and backward arrows does nothing either. The screen is completely frozen. This happens on both devices, so it does not appear to be device specific. Can you help?

after surviving many Ios updates - the Sudoku App has failed to work in iOS7. HELP I've tried and failed to find a sudoku app that comes anywhere close to making me happy. My #1 diversion on my phone. Please don't make me find something else to do.

I first bought this game for my HP ipaq many years ago and still play it every day. When I bought my iPad I was surprised to see the same game by the same company and downloaded it right away. It works the best of all other sudoku games I have played. I especially like the double row of numbers for picking the final number or picking potential selections if I'm not sure yet. This app works great. Trust me, I've been playing this game electronically for years. Thanks astraware for continuing this game for the iPad.

The grid must be decomposed into different areas. Each cell belongs to exactly one area. Each area contains exactly two clues. The sum of all digits in an area lies between the two clues, but may not reach them. For example, if the clues for an area are 21 and 24, the sum of the digits in the area is 22 or 23. Digits may not repeat within an area.

Normal sudoku rules apply. In cages, digits must sum to the small clue given in the top left corner of the cage. Digits cannot repeat in a cage. Clues outside the grid give the sum of cells along the indicated diagonal. Inequality signs in the grid point to the lower of the two cells involved.

Normal sudoku rules apply. Consider the first X cells and the last Y cells of a row or column where X is the number in the first cell and Y is the number in the last cell. A clue outside the grid gives the sum of the digits where these groups overlap, or the sum of the digits in the gap between the groups if they don't overlap.

This is one large puzzle, consisting of six different variants of 6x6 sudokus, all linked together by circles. A circle is an outside clue for both adjacent puzzles.

Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply to all sudokus, so each row, column and region must contain 1-6. Outside clues per variant show:

Difference Sudoku: The difference of the first two digits in the corresponding direction.

Outside-2 Sudoku: Must be placed in one of the first two cells in the corresponding direction.

Next-to-6 Sum Sudoku: The sum of all direct neighbours of the digit 6 in the row or column.

Skyscraper Sudoku: The number of visible skyscrapers from that side. Higher skyscrapers block the view of lower ones, size being given by the digit.

MaxAscending Sudoku: The length of the longest series of ascending digits in the corresponding direction. (E.g. the length of a 1-3-6 series is 3.)

First seen odd/even Sudoku: If odd, the first odd number in the corresponding direction; or, if even, the first even number.

I won't go over the play mechanics of Sudoku, instead let's elaborate what Sudoku 2 HD Pro does to enhance the game on iPad. After your game starts you have numbers on the bottom (portrait) or on the sides (landscape). To place a number on screen, tap the space you wish to place the number to and then tap the number. Once placed, other numbers on the sudoku board will have a green highlight to them. This helps you by pointing out other numbers so you can isolate where to play your next number. You can do this for any number at any time, you don't have to place a number, instead simply tap any number in the field and it will highlight the same number tiles in green.

40 down. The crossword clue is 'ask'. It's seven words starting with the letter 'I' and the second last letter is 'R'. There's nothing quite like the satisfaction of completing a crossword. But just how beneficial are traditional puzzles such as crosswords and sudoku for brain health? What about brain training games and apps such as Lumosity and traditional games such as chess? We asked clinical neuropsychologist, Dr Nicole Kochan, at UNSW Medicine & Health how they all stacked up. ff782bc1db
