 A total of three quizzes will be conducted, with students being informed at least a week prior. Under no circumstances, the date and time of quizzes will be rescheduled. If required, surprise quizzes may be conducted as well.

 The overall evaluation will be as follows:

(a) Quiz Set-1 - Quiz-1 (10%), Quiz-2 (15%)

Date of Quiz-1: August 19, 2023 (Venue: Core-5 (Room- 5001, 5104), Time: 2 pm - 3 pm) -> COMPLETED.

Date of Quiz-2: September 9, 2023 (Venue: Core-5 (Room- 5001, 5G2), Time: 2.15 pm - 3.45 pm)-> COMPLETED.

(b) Mid-semester Exam - 25% (Date: 20/09/2023, Time: 9.00-11.00 am, Venue: L1, L2, L3, L4)-> COMPLETED.

(c) Quiz Set-2 - Quiz-3 (10%) 

Date of Quiz-3: November 10, 2023 (Venue: Core-5 (Room- 5G1, 5G2), Time: 11 am - 12.05 pm)-> COMPLETED.

(d) End-semester Exam - 40% (Date: 21/11/2023; Time: 9.00 hrs -12.00 hrs; Venue: L1, L2, L3, L4)

Updates:

1. The last & final quiz will be conducted next Friday, from 11 am to 12.05 pm. Syllabus: everything covered after mid-sem.

3. We will discuss the Mid-sem question paper on Sep. 25, 2023. Mid-sem copies will be shown in the next week as well.

4. All the content for classes after mid-sem will be based on Textbook 2 and Textbook 3 from the list given at the top of the page.

5. Tutorial Sheet 3 solutions have been uploaded to the WhatsApp group.

6. The Quiz 2 date and time have been updated.

7. The extra class on August 26, 2023, is canceled. It is now rescheduled for September 7, 2023. Details have been emailed to all students.

8. Tutorial Sheet 2 has been emailed. It will be discussed/ solved in the tutorial class on Aug. 24, 2023.

10. The tutorial sessions will be held separately into two groups in rooms 5G1 and 5103, every Thursday. Dr. K. Karthik will be the instructor for room 5103. Details of the tutorial as well as the allocated TA details have been sent by email.
