SubTranslate is designed to process your videos while keeping the original video on your device.
Depending on the features you use, the application may process:
When you select or record a video, the video itself remains on your device.
To generate subtitles or translated subtitles, the application may extract audio from the video and transmit the extracted audio or required processing data to our processing infrastructure and third-party AI services used to provide transcription and translation.
The original video file is not uploaded to our servers as part of the normal subtitle-generation process.
The speech recognized from your video's audio may be processed to generate a transcript and, when requested, translated subtitles.
Certain technical information may be processed automatically for app operation, diagnostics, security, advertising, and performance.
Depending on the services enabled, this may include information such as:
device type and model
operating system version
app version
language and region
advertising-related identifiers
IP address or approximate location inferred from network information
technical and diagnostic information
advertising interaction information
Some of this information may be collected by third-party services such as Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Google documents that its advertising SDK can process device and advertising-related information to deliver and measure ads.
We may process information to:
generate subtitles from video speech
translate subtitles into the selected language
synchronize subtitles with the video
provide video preview and export functionality
maintain and improve app functionality
diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse

We do not use the content of your videos to create an advertising profile for you.
SubTranslate uses third-party AI processing services to help convert speech into text and translate subtitle content.
For this purpose, extracted audio and relevant processing data may be transmitted to our servers and to the AI services required to provide the requested feature.
We do not intentionally use your personal video content for unrelated advertising or marketing purposes.
The availability and handling of data by third-party providers may also be governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
Your original video remains on your device during normal operation.
SubTranslate does not intentionally upload or store the original video on our servers as part of the standard subtitle-generation workflow.
After processing is completed, exported videos are saved to locations chosen by you, such as your Photos library.
You remain responsible for the videos and other content you choose to process.
SubTranslate may display advertisements using Google AdMob.
Advertising services may collect or process certain device, advertising, usage, and diagnostic information in accordance with their own policies and applicable privacy requirements.
Google requires publishers using its services to disclose relevant data collection and usage practices, including the use of identifiers and other technologies associated with advertising.
Where required by applicable law or Apple's platform requirements, we may request permission before enabling certain advertising-related tracking or personalization features.
On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework may be used when applicable.
SubTranslate may use third-party services necessary to operate the application, including:

Original video files are designed to remain on your device rather than being stored on our servers.
Extracted audio and processing data are handled only as necessary to provide the requested transcription and translation service, subject to the technical operation of our infrastructure and third-party processing services.
Certain technical records may be retained for a limited period where necessary for security, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
We do not intentionally retain user video content indefinitely.
Important: Before publishing this policy, confirm the exact server-side retention period for extracted audio and processing logs in your backend. Apple expects developers to accurately describe retention and deletion practices.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through the application.
Data transmitted between the application, our infrastructure, and relevant third-party services should use encrypted connections where supported.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You can:
choose which videos to process
choose whether to use translation or original subtitles
choose the destination subtitle language
control applicable iOS permissions
manage advertising and tracking permissions where provided by iOS
delete exported videos from your device through Apple's Photos system
stop using the application at any time
Where applicable, privacy choices and consent controls may also be provided through Apple's or Google's mechanisms.
SubTranslate is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable laws.
We do not knowingly request personal information from children for registration because the application does not require a user account.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in a way that violates applicable law, please contact us.
Because SubTranslate uses third-party infrastructure and services, information required to provide the application's functionality may be processed in countries other than your country of residence.
Where required, we take appropriate measures intended to support lawful international data transfers.
