The NURC (National Underwater Robotics Competition) is a competition where teams attempt to complete tasks with a remotely operated vehicle that is underwater. The teams are only allowed limited information about an ROV's whereabouts through an onboard camera and sensors. This years list of objectives include the following: Retrieving a Dinosaur Egg (10 points per egg) Retrieving all dinosaur eggs (50 points) Opening a damaged ROV's data recorder panel (40 Points) Retrieving the Data Recorder (40 Points) Placing a cold fusion device into a volcano (20 Points and 5 extra minutes) Placing a tracker on the dinosaur (40 points) Retrieving a jelly fish (10 points/jelly) Retrieving all jelly fish (20 points) Reading the temperature of the volcano (20 Points). The competition occurs on Saturday 6/7 at the ASU Polytechnic Campus.
