I am Su-Min Lee, an Economic Consultant at London Economics, largely focusing on issues in education and labour markets.

My research using empirical microeconomic techniques have been used to inform policy across a range of UK government departments (Department for International Trade, Department for Education, Low Pay Commission).

I completed a PhD in Economics at the University of Cambridge in 2021. My thesis ('Inequality in Political Representation') asked why some groups (such as women and the working class) are consistently under-represented in politics.

My research interests revolve around economic inequality and politics.

During my doctoral studies, I taught a variety of small-group classes (first-year undegraduate microeconomics and final-year undergraduate political economics) as well as dissertation workshops for graduate students. I was awarded 'Best Performance as a Supervisor' on three occasions.

Views are my own and do not represent the views of London Economics, with the exception of London Economics publications.
