Privacy Policy for StyleFind

StyleFind ("we", "our", "the app") is operated by Abhijeet Patil ("the developer"). This policy explains what information the app collects, why it is collected, how it is used, and what choices you have.

By using StyleFind, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

• Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are stored in an encrypted (hashed) form and are never visible to us.

• Images you upload. When you use the screenshot or camera feature, we collect the image you choose to upload. These may be screenshots from social media, photographs you take, or images from your device gallery.

• Saved content. Items you add to your wishlist, outfit boards you create, and preferences you set (such as size, gender, colour, and budget filters).

1.2 Information collected automatically

• Device and usage information. Basic technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and general usage events used to diagnose crashes and improve the app.

• Log data. Timestamps and error logs generated when the app communicates with our servers.

1.3 Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect your name, phone number, precise location, contacts, SMS messages, call logs, or payment card details. StyleFind does not process payments.

2. Camera and Photo Access

StyleFind requests access to your device camera and photo gallery only so that you can select or capture an image to analyse. We access an image only at the moment you choose it. We do not scan, browse, or upload your gallery in the background, and we do not access your camera when the app is not in use.

You can revoke camera or photo permissions at any time in your device settings. The screenshot analysis feature will not work without them, but the rest of the app will continue to function.

3. How Your Images Are Used

When you upload an image, it is sent to our servers and then processed by Google Gemini, a third-party artificial intelligence service provided by Google LLC, in order to identify the fashion items visible in the image (such as clothing type, colour, and style).

The results of that analysis are used to show you matching or similar fashion products and links to online retailers.

Please note:

• Your image is transmitted to Google for processing. Google's handling of that data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy

• We recommend you do not upload images containing sensitive personal information, identity documents, or images of other people without their consent.

4. Third-Party Retailers

StyleFind displays product suggestions and provides links to external shopping websites, which may include Myntra, Flipkart, Amazon, Ajio, Nykaa Fashion, and Meesho.

• These retailers are independent third parties. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of them.

• When you tap a product link, you leave StyleFind and enter that retailer's own website or app. Your activity there is governed by their privacy policy and terms, not ours.

• Product information shown in StyleFind is provided for discovery and inspiration. Availability, pricing, and product details are determined by the retailer and may differ from what is shown in the app.

We do not share your personal information with these retailers.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

• Create and maintain your account

• Analyse the images you upload and return fashion suggestions

• Save your wishlist, outfit boards, and preferences across sessions

• Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve app performance and features

• Communicate with you about your account or important service changes

• Detect and prevent misuse, abuse, or fraudulent activity

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your uploaded images for advertising, and we do not share them with advertisers.

6. Data Storage, Retention and Security

• Data is stored on secured cloud servers operated on our behalf.

• Data transmitted between the app and our servers is protected using encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

• Uploaded images and their analysis results are retained while your account remains active, so that your upload history and wishlist remain available to you.

• If you delete your account, associated data is removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You may:

• Access the information associated with your account

• Delete individual uploads or wishlist items from within the app

• Request deletion of your entire account and associated data by emailing us at the address in Section 11

• Withdraw permissions for camera and photo access at any time in your device settings

We will respond to deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

StyleFind is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information, including uploaded images, may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including by Google in connection with the AI processing described in Section 3. By using the app, you consent to such transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated within the app where practicable. Continued use of StyleFind after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
