StudyFinder ("StudyFinder", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the StudyFinder mobile application.

StudyFinder is an education and study-abroad discovery application that allows users to browse, search, filter, view, and save study programs, universities, and scholarship opportunities from multiple sources and access the original program or institution website through an external website.

When you save or favourite a study program, university, or scholarship opportunity, the saved information is stored locally on your device.

You can remove saved programs at any time from within the application. Uninstalling the application will also remove locally stored application data according to the Android operating system's normal app-data behavior.

3. Study Programs and Search

StudyFinder retrieves study program, university, and scholarship information from multiple third-party data providers, education platforms, university websites, and other relevant sources through available APIs or data services.

When you search for programs or apply filters, information such as your search keywords and selected filters may be transmitted to the relevant data provider in order to retrieve matching study opportunities.

The information returned by these providers is displayed within StudyFinder.

StudyFinder does not control the privacy practices of third-party data providers. Their handling of information is governed by their respective privacy policies and terms.

4. External University and Program Websites

StudyFinder may provide links to external websites containing the original university, study program, or scholarship information.

When you select a "View Official Website" or similar action, you may be redirected to the relevant external website using your device's browser.

Once you leave StudyFinder, the privacy practices of that external website apply. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external website you visit.

StudyFinder does not control or take responsibility for the privacy practices, content, or security of external websites.

5. Internet and Network Information

StudyFinder requires an internet connection to retrieve current study programs, university information, and scholarship opportunities.

When communicating with external APIs or websites, standard technical information such as an IP address may be processed by those services as part of normal internet communication.

StudyFinder itself does not intentionally collect or store your IP address or browsing history.

Because StudyFinder does not currently maintain user accounts or a server-side personal profile, we do not retain a personal account record for users.

Saved programs are stored locally on your device.

You can delete individual saved programs directly within the application.

You can also remove all locally stored StudyFinder data by clearing the application's data or uninstalling the application through your Android device settings.

Information processed by third-party data providers, universities, scholarship providers, or external websites is subject to their own retention and deletion policies.

11. Children's Privacy

StudyFinder is not specifically directed toward children.

The application does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time when the application's functionality or data practices change.

When changes are made, the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy will be updated.
