Information Regarding the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for Salesian Pontifical University’s IRB # FSE-CSF562-10 gennaio 2025
This research study will collect personal information about you. The Principal Investigator of this study is Lorena Franušić, a psychologist and PhD candidate at the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome, Italy, under the supervision of Prof. Zbigniew Formella. This study was developed in collaboration with Dr. Chan Kulatunga-Moruzi and Dr. Leonora Regenstreif. It has been approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Salesian Pontifical University in Rome under Protocol Number FSE-CSF562-10 gennaio 2025 and complies with the university's research ethics requirements. The IRB and the Principal Investigator are jointly responsible for the conduct of this research study. Lorena Franušić will act as the data controller for this study and is responsible for looking after your information and using it properly. She will keep your personal information for one year after the study ends.
You have the following rights over the personally identifiable information collected about you during this study:
● The right to request access to your personal information that the researchers have collected about you, as well as the right to request correction of any information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
● The right to request a copy of your personal information in electronic format so that you can transmit the data to third parties, or to request that the researchers directly transfer your personal information to one or more third parties.
● The right to request that your personal information no longer be used for the purposes of this research, including if you withdraw from this study.
● The right to request erasure of your personal information, including if you withdraw from this study.
The researchers’ legal basis for the collection and use of personal information about you is their legitimate interests in the collection of reliable and accurate data for scientific analysis.
Prior to data collection, a brief individual online meeting will be conducted to assess your eligibility for participation in this study. This meeting will not be recorded, and your attendance will remain confidential, known only to the researchers. Any information gathered during this process will be used exclusively for screening purposes. If deemed eligible, you will receive a link to the questionnaire along with a unique access code. Your data will be collected via an electronic questionnaire through the online survey tool LimeSurvey, which complies with GDPR requirements.
Lorena Franušić is a psychologist and a PhD candidate in Psychology, originally from Croatia, currently living in Italy, where she is pursuing her PhD. Data protection laws in Italy may not be as strong as the laws where you reside.
