StudioCelot (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the mobile application Japanese Vocabulary: JLPT Words N5–N1 (“the App”).
This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, processed, and shared when you use the App.
The App does not require account registration.
We do not directly request or collect personal information such as:
Your name
Email address
Phone number
Home address
Precise location
Contacts
Photos or videos
Microphone recordings
Payment information
The App does not use Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics.
The App may store the following information locally on your device:
Study progress
Favorite words
App settings
Theme preferences
Other learning preferences
This information is used only to provide the App’s learning and customization features.
We do not operate a separate server that receives or stores this locally saved study data.
Local App data generally remains on your device until you clear the App’s storage or uninstall the App.
The App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK provided by Google to display advertisements.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share information including:
IP address, which may be used to estimate general location
App interactions, such as app launches, taps, and advertisement interactions
Diagnostic and performance information
Android advertising ID
App set ID
Other device or account identifiers where applicable
Google states that the Mobile Ads SDK uses this information for purposes including advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Information collected through the SDK is encrypted during transmission.
The availability, type, and personalization of advertisements may depend on your region, device settings, consent choices, and Google’s advertising systems.
Where required by applicable law, the App uses the Google User Messaging Platform (“UMP”) to request and manage consent for advertising-related data processing.
Depending on your region, you may be given options to:
Consent to advertising-related data processing
Refuse consent
Manage advertising preferences
Review or change your privacy choices later
When Google determines that privacy options must be available, the App may provide a Privacy Options menu that allows you to reopen Google’s privacy options form.
The App requests advertisements only when the UMP SDK reports that advertisements may be requested.
Google controls the content, availability, and regional requirements of its consent and privacy forms.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may access the Android advertising ID and other permitted device identifiers for advertising, measurement, analytics, security, and fraud-prevention purposes.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID through your Android device settings.
Your advertising and privacy choices may affect whether Google provides personalized, non-personalized, or limited advertisements.
Information processed through the Google Mobile Ads SDK may be used for:
Displaying advertisements
Selecting personalized or non-personalized advertisements
Measuring advertisement performance
Understanding interactions with advertisements
Detecting invalid traffic, fraud, and abuse
Maintaining service security and reliability
Improving Google’s advertising services
Locally stored study progress and favorites are used only for the App’s learning features and are not intentionally submitted by the App to Google for advertising purposes.
We do not sell your personal information.
Advertising-related information may be collected, processed, or shared by Google and its advertising partners as necessary to:
Provide advertisements
Measure advertisement performance
Prevent fraud and abuse
Maintain security
Comply with legal obligations
Operate advertising services
The App does not independently upload your locally stored study progress or favorites to our servers or share them with advertising providers.
Google processes information according to its own privacy policies, terms, consent settings, and advertising systems.
We do not maintain a separate user-account database or server database containing your study progress.
Locally stored App data can be deleted by:
Clearing the App’s storage through your Android device settings, or
Uninstalling the App
Information collected by Google is retained and deleted according to Google’s applicable policies, legal obligations, and user privacy settings.
Because the App does not provide user accounts, there is no separate account-deletion process.
We take reasonable steps to limit data collection and use established third-party services.
Google states that information collected through the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security.
However, no electronic transmission, device storage system, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
The App is a general-audience Japanese-language learning application. It is not specifically designed or directed toward children.
We do not knowingly request or directly collect personal information from children.
Google and its advertising services may apply different advertising or consent rules based on a user’s region, age-related settings, or applicable law.
A parent or guardian who believes that a child has provided personal information directly to us may contact us using the information below.
Depending on your country or region, you may have rights regarding personal data processed about you, including rights to:
Access personal data
Correct inaccurate personal data
Request deletion
Restrict certain processing
Object to certain processing
Withdraw consent
Where available, you may review or change advertising consent through the App’s Privacy Options menu.
You may also manage advertising identifiers and privacy settings through your Android device and Google account settings.
Requests concerning information controlled directly by Google may need to be submitted through Google’s privacy tools or contact channels.

These services are provided by Google and are governed by Google’s applicable privacy policies, terms, and consent mechanisms.
The App does not currently use:

Firebase Crashlytics
Google Play requires developers to disclose data collected or shared by the App, including data handled through third-party SDKs. The App’s Google Play Data safety information is intended to remain consistent with this Privacy Policy.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK’s data practices may change when the SDK is updated. We may therefore revise this Privacy Policy and the App’s Google Play Data safety declarations when necessary.
We may update this Privacy Policy when:
The App’s features change
Advertising or consent functionality changes
Third-party SDKs are added, removed, or updated
Legal or regulatory requirements change
An updated version will be posted on this page with a revised Last updated date.
