Michael Kopulos is a freelance keyboard artist and resident producer/owner at Studio 5397 in Turlock, CA.  His career has spanned more than three decades and three major music centers including the San Francisco Bay Area, Nashville, and Los Angeles.  His credits included major touring appearances in concert and on TV, as well as recording alongside many notable professionals. 

Michael's fresh approach compliments numerous music styles.  He is a capable, musical chameleon and his expertise in theory and arranging benefit any recording project or live performance.

EXPERIENCE MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Michael studied Jazz under the legendary “Doc Patnoe” and classical piano under European Concert Pianist Anna Poklewski.  These extremes play against the backdrop of a full range of musical influences.  He maintains a fresh approach while providing classic insight.

As a keyboardist, Michael grew up with technology and advanced in the mastery of several digital platforms as a programmers. Furthermore, Michael has taught these disciplines at a graduate level, a national conference, and several clinics.

PERFORMANCES and/or RECORDING with Abraham Laboriel, Grecco Buratto (Pink, Shakira), Freddy Rodriguez (Integrity Records), Danny Gokey (American Idol), Dove Award winner Bryan Duncan, Forrest Robinson (India Arie, The Crusaders), Kent Wells (Dolly Parton), Drew Hester (Joe Walsh, Stevie Nicks),and guitar aficionado Steve Fister.  Michael also toured extensively with country legends Earl Thomas Conley (14 #1 Hits) and Mel McDaniel.

Michael’s studio features Roland and Novation keyboards with a dazzling array of software instruments: the full range of Spectrasonics (Omnisphere, Keyscape, Trilian, Stylus RMX), Ivory II, NI Komplete, Sampletank, and the Arturia Collection.  He customizes and programs sound on demand and can reproduce just about any recorded tone. Michael records on Digital Performer 9 with MOTU interfaces. He also programs and writes in Ableton Live for live performances.

In addition, Michael provides services in music transcription and arranging, including orchestrations for strings and horns. 

 Michael frequently serves at Big Valley Grace Community Church in Modesto, CA.   Other previous church clients include New Life Community Church (Turlock), Saddleback (Lake Forest and Los Angeles), Bel Air Presbyterian Church (Los Angeles), Hollywood Presbyterian, Faith Community Church (West Covina), and The Center (Granada Hills).
