PRIVACY POLICY FOR STUDI: AI FLASH CARDS LEARNING

This policy explains what data Studi: AI Flash Cards Learning ("Studi", "we", "us") uses, where it goes, and the choices you have. It describes the app from version 1.1.
THE SHORT VERSION
- Studi has no accounts. You don't need an email or password.
- Your flashcards and study progress stay on your device.
- Text, photos, and files you use for AI generation are sent to Google Gemini, but only after you allow it.
- We don't use ads, we don't track you across other apps or websites, and we don't sell your data.
1. DATA STORED ONLY ON YOUR DEVICE
We keep the following on your device. It is not sent to us:
- Your flashcard sets, including cards, tags, and folders
- Study progress, review schedules, streaks, and study time
- Images you add to cards, and exam dates
- Your settings, such as appearance and reminder time
- Your free credit balance
Your answers to the questions shown when you first open the app are used only during that setup. They are not saved or sent anywhere.
2. DATA SENT TO THIRD-PARTY AI
When you create flashcards with AI, ask for an AI explanation, or take a written test graded by AI, Studi sends what you chose to Google Gemini, Google's AI service. This goes through AIProxy, a third-party service that protects our access to Gemini.
What is sent:
- Text you paste or type, and any subject you enter
- Photos you take or choose
- PDF, text, and image files you upload, and their file names
- The text of Word and PowerPoint files you upload. Studi reads the text on your device and sends the text, not the file. The file name may be sent with it.
- The question and answer of a card you ask to have explained, and any follow-up questions you type
- Answers you type in a written test, with that card's question and answer
- The questions already in a set, when you add AI cards to it, so that new cards don't repeat them
Please avoid sending anything sensitive, such as personal documents or other people's private information.
Your permission: before anything is sent, Studi asks for your permission in a "Share with AI?" message. If you choose Not Now, nothing is sent. You can withdraw permission at any time in Settings > Privacy > Share with AI. You will be asked again the next time you use AI generation.
How long it is kept:
- Files you upload are stored by Google for up to 48 hours so that they can be processed, and are then deleted automatically.
- Google says it does not use content sent through paid Gemini API access to improve its products. It logs requests and responses for a limited period for purposes such as detecting misuse.

3. DEVICE INFORMATION
AIProxy receives a device identifier and your IP address with each AI request. These are used to limit and measure usage, and to protect the service from abuse. They are not used for advertising.
4. PURCHASES
Subscriptions are sold and charged by Apple. We never see your payment details.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase history, and related device information, so that the app can tell whether you have Studi Pro and can restore your purchase.

5. OTHER FEATURES
- Read aloud uses voices built into your device.
- To see if an update is available, Studi asks Apple's App Store for the latest version number. This request includes your region and, like any internet request, your IP address. No personal content is sent.
- Multiple choice quizzes are created on your device from your own cards.
- Images you add to cards are not sent to the AI.
- Study reminders are scheduled on your device. They are optional, and you can turn them off in Settings > Reminders.
- Camera and file access are used only when you choose to take a photo or select a file. Photos you pick are shared with Studi only through Apple's photo picker.
6. CONTACTING US AND REPORTING CARDS
If you email us, including through the report button on a card, we receive your email address and whatever your message contains. A card report includes the text of that card. You see the email before you send it. We use these messages only to respond and to fix problems.
7. SHARING YOUR DATA
We share data only as described in this policy, or if required by law. When you export or share a flashcard set, it goes only where you choose to send it.
8. DELETING YOUR DATA
- To delete a flashcard set, open it and choose Delete Set from the menu. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device.
- Files sent to Google for AI generation are deleted as described in section 2.
- To manage your subscription, go to your App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- For any other privacy request, email us at the address below.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or limit its use, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because Studi has no accounts, we may not be able to connect data held by service providers to you without more information from you. Email us and we will help.
10. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States.
11. CHILDREN
Studi is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or in the App Store update notes.
