In this unit on the Early Humans, students will using their Text Book with a collaborative model and Common Core Standards in History to produce a collaborative slide show that addresses the Big Question above.
Time Frame one-two weeks.
Culminating activity: Students will produce a collaborative slideshow answering the question, "What were the big technological advancements that lead early humans from hunters and gatherers to farming communities?"

Groups of six students will produce and present slideshow about early humans. Each student is responsible for one slide and needs to follow the requirements on example. The projects are posted below by period.
Students studied early human cave art and emulated the style then using digital tools edited their work into cave painting from early humans.

Students started by studying the art achievements of early humans. They used a website to take a virtual tour of Lascaux. They worked in teams to collect pictures of natural animals that would have been hunted by early humans and made a slideshow for reference. After they were to select one animal from their research and draw a sketch on a paper. They then used pastels and art paper to create a final draft of their animal. The cut them out and took a digital photo of their drawing and then used google slides to take a real cave painting from early humans and use that as a background then add their cut animal into the slide. They had to put their individual slides into a class slideshow that is posted below.
