International Student Guide: COVID 19

We hope you are well and managing these challenging times. As you know, all schools remain closed for the remainder of the School year. There are many questions about what happens after that date. We will continue to keep you updated on this as more information becomes available.

General information for International Students:

Other IMPORTANT International Students-related considerations

Helpful tips to avoid getting sick - Prevention measures include:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are ill.

  • Stay home when you are ill.

  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then immediately throw the tissue in the garbage and clean your hands.

  • If you don’t have a tissue, sneeze or cough into your sleeve or arm.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a household cleaner.

  • Prior to travelling, check the Public Health Agency of Canada – Travel Advice and Advisories website (https://travel.gc.ca/travelling/advisories) for up-to-date travel information.

  • Tidy up and clean your room

  • Help with household duties: prepare a meal, set the table, wash the dishes

  • Daily video chat with family members and relatives
