This Privacy Policy describes how My LogBook (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our mobile application (“the App”). The App helps students track learning tasks, teachers monitor class progress, and parents view their ward’s progress.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who this policy applies to
The App is intended for use in an educational setting. Users may include:
Students (including minors, where the school or parent has authorized use)
Teachers and school staff
Parents or guardians (viewing a linked student’s progress)
Administrators (limited access, where applicable)
Schools or coaching centers that onboard users are responsible for ensuring they have permission to share student information with us.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you or your school provides

2.2 Information collected automatically
Device and app usage: Basic technical data needed for the App to function (e.g. app version, session for login).
Local storage on device: Login session preferences, optional biometric login settings, and cached data for offline or faster loading (where enabled).
2.3 Optional biometric login
If you enable fingerprint or face login, biometric data is processed only on your device by your phone’s operating system. We do not receive or store your biometric data on our servers.
2.4 Images (if used)
If the App allows profile or upload features, images you choose to provide may be stored on our cloud storage. Only upload content you have permission to share.
3. How we use information
We use collected information to:
Create and manage user accounts
Display subjects, chapters, tasks, and progress
Let teachers view students by branch and batch
Let parents view their ward’s progress (when linked)
Improve reliability, security, and support
Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising.
4. How we store and protect data
Data is stored using Supabase (cloud database and authentication), with industry-standard security practices.
Passwords are handled through secure authentication; we do not store plain-text passwords in the App on your device.
Data may be processed on servers located outside your country. By using the App, you consent to such processing where permitted by law.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
5. Sharing of information
We may share information only:
With your school / institution that registered or approved your account
Between linked roles (e.g. parent access to a specific student’s progress, teacher access to assigned batches)
With service providers who help us operate the App (e.g. cloud hosting), under confidentiality obligations
When required by law (court order, government request, or to protect rights and safety)
We do not share personal data with advertisers for targeted ads.
6. Children’s privacy
The App may be used by students who are minors. We rely on schools and parents to provide consent where required by law (including applicable child privacy rules). Parents or guardians may contact us or the school to request access, correction, or deletion of a minor’s data as described below.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, unless a longer period is required by law or your institution’s agreement with us. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it where reasonably possible.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information (via your school or by contacting us)
Delete your account or request deletion of your data
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
Disable biometric login in device or app settings at any time
Logout to end your session on a shared device
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11. Schools may also handle requests on behalf of students and parents.

The App may use third-party services, including:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy. For significant changes, we may notify users through the App or your institution.
