Diane Batza, born in Northampton, Pennsylvania, is a teaching assistant in the full-day Transitional Pre-K class at St. Stephen’s School. She graduated from Whitehall High School and has been working at St. Stephen’s since 2005. Mrs. Batza is retired from Sapita Cheese and General Electric. She has a place down at Rehoboth Beach and works part time at Eddie Bauer. She has one son and four grandchildren and they all came to St. Stephen’s. Her hobby is bowling and she likes NASCAR and college football. She is a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Whitehall.
Janet Black is a teaching assistant in 4 Day AM and PM 4 year-old classes at St. Stephen’s School. She was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania and graduated from Dieruff High School. Mrs. Black became part of the St. Stephen’s staff in 1992 as an Extended Care aide, before becoming a classroom aide. She has been a part of the summer program at the Jewish Community Center as well as been a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. Mrs. Black is married to her husband, Gary, and together they have three daughters, who all attended St. Stephen’s, plus one granddaughter and one grandson.
Lori Chase is a teaching assistant in a 3 Day 4 year-old class and a 2 Day 3 year-old class. She was born in Allentown and graduated from WIlliam Allen High School. She attended Bloomsburg University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. Before joining the St. Stephen's team in 2014, she had over 17 years of work experience in the childcare field. She and her husband, Jonathan, live in Whitehall with their three children. In her free time, she enjoys activities with her family.
JoAnn Kulhamer is a teaching assistant for the Kindergarten class at St. Stephen’s School. After graduating from Fleetwood High School, she attended Reading Area Community College and joined the St. Stephen’s staff in 1998. Mrs. Kulhamer and her husband, John, have two sons, John and Justin. In her spare time, she finds pleasure in crafts, especially scrapbooking, gardening and cooking.
Ann Marie Ritter
Ann Marie Ritter is a teaching assistant in a 4 Day AM 4 year old class and a 3 Day PM 3 year-old class at St. Stephen's School. She attended Lehigh Carbon Community College after graduating from Whitehall High School. In 2000, she became a member of the St. Stephen's staff. Mrs. Ritter has been a Sunday school teacher at her church, Shepherd of the Hills in Whitehall, and has also been a Cub Scout troop leader. She and her husband, Craig, have two sons. Some of her hobbies and interests include football, fishing, crabbing, motorcycles, crafts and bowling.
Kristen Wiedemann is a teaching assistant as well St. Stephen's assistant Extended Care teacher. She attended St. Stephen's as a student and is now back as a member of the staff. Originally from Fogelsville, she graduated from Parkland High School and is currently attending Lehigh-Carbon Community College in pursuit of her degree in Elementary Education. Miss Wiedemann has several years experience as a lifeguard. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, cooking, dirtbiking with her father and decorating for the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas.
