Welcome to StrideNova ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, StrideNova (the "App").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the App.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our tournament matching, leaderboard updates, and fitness utilities, we collect several types of data.

A. Personal Information

When you create an account using Google Sign-In (Firebase), we collect:

• Name / Username: Used to display your identity on tournament leaderboards.

• Email Address: Used for account authentication, customer support, and system notifications.

• Profile Picture: Syncs from your Google account to customize your in-app profile.

B. Health and Fitness Data (Critical Disclosure)

StrideNova is a step-based competitive platform. We access:

• Daily Step Counts & Physical Activity Data: Accessed via integration with the device sensors, Google Fit APIs, and Google Health Connect APIs.

• Note on Health Connect: Our use of information received from Health Connect will adhere to the Health Connect Permissions Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

C. Location Data

To facilitate our upcoming gym-locator feature, the App may request access to your device's location services.

• Precise or Approximate GPS Location: Collected only with your explicit opt-in consent to locate gyms within a 5 km radius of your location. We do not track your location in the background or sell your location details.

D. Device and Usage Data

• Device Identifiers (UUID/IP Address): Collected to prevent multi-accounting, duplicate registrations, and system manipulation (anti-cheat verification for tournaments).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following specific purposes:

• Core App Functionality: Generating live, real-time tournament leaderboards based on verified step counts.

• Anti-Cheat Validation: Analyzing step cadence, distance, and activity patterns to ensure steps are physically completed (and not simulated via mechanical devices).

• Location Utilities: Calculating the nearest fitness facilities within a 5 km boundary of your position.

• Account Support: Troubleshooting bugs, managing your user profile, and handling account recovery.

3. Data Sharing and Selling (Zero-Ad Disclosure)

• We DO NOT Sell Your Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, location profiles, or health data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

• Limited Use Compliance: Steps and physical activity data collected via Google Fit/Health Connect are strictly used to compute tournament scores and will never be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

• Service Providers: We may share securely hashed authentication tokens with Firebase (Google) solely to verify your login credentials.

4. Data Security & Encryption

We implement industry-standard security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information:

• Data in Transit: All data transmitted between the App and our cloud databases is fully encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS/SSL).

• Storage security: User steps, names, and emails are securely stored using cloud database encryption protocols.

5. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You retain full control over your data. At any time, you can:

1. Revoke Permissions: Turn off GPS location access or disconnect Google Fit / Health Connect integration directly from your phone’s system settings.

2. Request Account & Data Deletion:

   • You can initiate an automated account deletion directly inside your in-app Profile Settings under Account Settings -> Delete Account.

   • Alternatively, you can contact our data privacy officer at support@stridenova.com to request the complete, permanent deletion of your profile, step history, and database entries. We will process all deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

StrideNova is strictly intended for individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a minor under 18, we will delete that information immediately.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect system upgrades or legal adjustments. Any changes will be announced inside the App, and the "Effective Date" at the top of this document will be updated.
