Stride ("Stride", "we", "us", or "the app") is an offline-first habit and routine tracker. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information. The short version: Stride does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you create stays on your device.

We do not collect any personal information. Stride has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no servers that receive your data.
All information you enter into the app, including your habits, descriptions, icons, colors, schedules, reminder times, completion history, and app settings, is created and stored only on your device.
Your data is saved in a private database on your device. It is not uploaded to us or to any cloud service. Because the data lives only on your device, it is removed when you uninstall the app or clear the app's data.
Stride can schedule local notifications to remind you about your habits. These reminders are generated and delivered entirely on your device by the operating system. No reminder content is sent to us or to any external service. Notifications never record or complete anything on their own. Marking a habit complete is always an action you take inside the app.
Stride lets you export a backup of your data to a file and import it later. This feature runs only when you choose to use it. When you export, the app creates a backup file that you control, and you decide where it goes using your device's own share or save options. When you import, you select a backup file yourself. We never see, receive, or store these files. If you choose to share an exported file with another app or person, that file leaves your control according to that other service's practices, so please handle backups carefully.
Stride may request the following device permissions, used only to provide app features:
Notifications: to show habit reminders.
Exact alarms and scheduling: to deliver reminders at the times you set.
Run reminders after restart: to restore your scheduled reminders after the device reboots.
File access (during export and import only): to let you save or select a backup file that you choose.
These permissions are used locally on your device. They are not used to collect or transmit personal data.
We do not share your data with anyone, because we never receive it in the first place. Stride contains no advertising networks and no analytics or tracking services.
Because your data never leaves your device, it is protected by your device's own security, such as your screen lock and the operating system's app sandboxing. We recommend keeping your device secured and storing any backup files you create in a safe location.
Stride does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app contains no ads and no data collection.
You are always in full control of your information. You can edit or delete any habit at any time, reset your statistics, or remove all data by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
