hair ;;
a dark brown in coloring with very little shade variance.  not in terrible condition due to showers every so often, but still constantly tangled and greasy.  very mattered, a mess, often considered wild and unruly.  long, comes down past the shoulders, cut somewhat unevenly.  when in nicer conditions, can be wavy.

eyes ;;
a bit red.  baggy.  luckily for her, eyesight is good.  coloring is mainly a bright green.

complexion & scars ;;
pale skin, yet splotchy. sometimes sunburnt. grimy and dirty frequently. can be red from constant scratching and irritation. some freckles across her nose and cheeks. left arm, shoulder, chest, and back are covered in scratches, welts, and scars from beatings, falls, attacks, splinters, and general abuse. also has a scar hidden beneath her hair on the back of her head along the left side. this is from copper throwing a metal bar at her and cracking open her skull.

skinny. hollow face, sunken eyes. she’s bony, but somewhat muscular at the same time. heavy/baggy clothes overtop hide just how small she really is.

accent ;;
it could be known as a “southern slur,” but it’s not actually your stereotypical southern.  she doesn’t sound redneck or like she’s a georgia peach or the like.  her southern dialect is not strong.  she says “ain’t” and “y’all” a fair amount, but that’s about it.  so she’s not got a crazy strong accent in regards to regional sounds, mostly because she’s been with a lot of non-southern people, especially since she turned ten.  you won’t find her spewing much terminology other than to use words that are more common in the south versus north or west or midwest ( think the whole “coke” versus “soda” and “pop” debate ).  no “heavens to betsy” phrases here.

thus, the “southern” part is more to describe the sound of her slur as well as give some minor representation as to what her dialect will most reflect.  another way to possibly describe the “slur” is childlike.

you know how when kids are little and they tend to talk too fast for their minds and mouths?  think like that.  cat’s words jumble, run, and skip over sounds because she just never improved with her enunciation and communicating.  she was taking speech classes while young and, once she was abandoned and joined the ring, no one cared to really bother correcting her.  so learning to talk properly was never a priority, and thus her speech never improved.  cat kind of always sounds like she’s got a lot on her mind and can’t get it all out when, really, she just sucks at talking with fluidity and enunciation.

when in a stable environment, she can improve from being surrounded by people who talk with a more regular consistency on a daily basis.

bathing habits ;;
tries to take a shower at least once a week ( more if possible but rare ).  usually she can get one at least once every two weeks , but there are occasional times where she’s lucky to get once a month ( it heavily depends on where she is physically and mentally ).  she utilizes churches and gyms, usually by sneaking in, paying a small fee, or taking advantage of any kindness being offered by someone there.

does brush her teeth nightly, sometimes the morning.  does not own a hair brush, part of the reason her hair is always so wild and tangled.  has deodorant, but rarely works to get her clothes washed so she still generally smells and looks in poor condition even when taken care of herself otherwise.

health ;;
has minor anemia.  this is due to iron and vitamin b12 deficiency. it causes a reduced amount of red blood cells which leads to paleness, fatigue, a harder time for bleeding to stop, and leaves her feeling cold consistently due to poor blood circulation.

sometimes has other nutritional deficiencies ( like vitamins ) which can lead to trouble breathing ( only really occurs when really worked up ), weakness, can get lightheaded, minor heart and stomach problems, menstrual issues ( usually missed periods ), poor concentration, as well as moodiness/hormone imbalance.  depends on how well she’s handled feeding herself over a period of time.

important note ;;
cat has the general appearance of being fourteen years old.  she has not grown much since she was twelve due to malnutrition and poor conditions.  thus, it is not uncommon for her to be mistaken for a young teen or child.

• barbie backpack ( sized for a girl around 8 - 10 years )

• three throwing knives in a makeshift sheath beneath her sweater and shirt

• second ( or more ) pair of undergarments

• at least one other shirt

• sometimes food ( usually granola bars )

• toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant

• a brown, stuffed puppy she named sausage

• picklock ( always in her jacket/sweater pocket )

• notebook that has a picture given to her by scott pressed among the pages to keep it safe – the picture is of her and him playing with his dog at the time, buddy
